The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask are great games, both on Nintendo 64 :P Super Smash Bros. Melee is one of my favorites too
Alsuntia
Definitely Descent! :)
I'm so glad I'm recently able to play it again in all its original glory, instead of using modifications with better graphics.
My second favourite would be DOOM II, especially since I've learned to create my own levels for it.

Does "Metal Slug" count?

Otherwise I'll only be left with "Tetris".

NES:
  1. Magic Jewelry (unlicensed)
  2. Kirby's Adventure (but not quite its GBA remake Nightmare in Dream Land)
SNES: Kirby Super Star

GBA:
  1. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (but not its original SNES release Super Mario World 2)
  2. Tom & Jerry Tales (yep, it's real and you're not blind, Tom & Jerry indeed)
PC:
  1. Sonic R (my most nostalgic bois—used to play A LOT)
  2. Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project (the original 2002 PC release)
N64:
  1. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (too cute to dismiss, one doesn't even need anime QUITE after this)
  2. Magical Tetris Challenge (challenged (by) my cousins and, well...it ended up worth listing here)
To me personally, though, only the PC games strike all chords with me...alongside the one and only, the true legend in my heart, the PS1:
  1. CTR: Crash Team Racing (my go-to when bored, it ended up getting the top place in my PS1 list)
  2. Fighting Force
  3. Pepsiman (the man, the legend, shoutouts to SimpleFlips him!)
  4. METAL SLUG X
  5. Tom & Jerry in House Trap (yep, another T&J)
Bonus: Mega Drive: Columns
Apple_iFry
My favourite retro game, If you can even call it retro... is the Snake game on Nokia phones
Lowtagoras
The good old Ristar and Crusader of Centy (both Mega Drive) were the games I regularly came back to until my controller broke. Aside from them, the Zelda games for GB are the ones I remember quite fondly. Haven't touched them for a long time now though.
Come to think of it, Astérix and the Power of the Gods deserves a honorable mention, just because of all the frustration it caused to little pre-schooler me, heh.
Mirt
Definitely Tetris, Mario and Zelda OOT. I've been playing Tetris since I was around 5 and still haven't stopped to this day. I definitely don't play as much as I should however which is a shame since PPT is great fun. I also have to chuck in Daytona USA. The arcade one was great fun.
