see osu!mania section here: https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/Score

Score = BaseScore + BonusScore

BaseScore = (MaxScore * ModMultiplier * 0.5 / TotalNotes) * (HitValue / 320)

BonusScore = (MaxScore * ModMultiplier * 0.5 / TotalNotes) * (HitBonusValue * Sqrt(Bonus) / 320)
Bonus = Bonus before this hit + HitBonus - HitPunishment / ModDivider
Bonus is limited to [0, 100], initially 100.

MaxScore = 1 000 000
ModMultiplier = The score multiplier of the selected mods (difficulty reduction and/or nK)
ModDivider = The punishment divider of the selected mods (difficulty increase)

Judgement HitValue HitBonusValue HitBonus HitPunishment
MAX 320 32 2
300 300 32 1
200 200 16 8
100 100 8 24
50 50 4 44
Miss 0 0 ∞

Mod ModMultiplier ModDivider
Easy 0.5
NoFail 0.5
HalfTime 0.5
HardRock 1.08
DoubleTime 1.1
NightCore 1.1
FadeIn 1.06
Hidden 1.06
Flashlight 1.06

Ok, thanks. But this is not exactly the answer to my question. I mean when you see the stats of both scores, without seeing the score itself, you would say the picture below would have the better score. A bit confusing.

According to the score calculation formula, the location of the judgments obtained during the map influences the score.

For example, you get more score in certain section of the map if you get 2 misses very close to each other, and the rest mostly 300/MAX, compared to 2 misses that are separated by several notes, and the rest mostly 300/MAX.

For 200/100/50 judgments, the punishment from each of those is bigger the lower your bonus value is, so, for the same judgment counts, getting those spread apart with several 300/MAX judgments in-between is better than getting several of those in a row (except in the case when you get so many your bonus value drops to the lower cap of 0).

200/100/50/Misses give a lesser punishment if they are done on the last notes in the map.

BonusScore and Bonus are the reason position of misses matter. Each miss drops Bonus to 0, so missing again right after doesnt hurt your score ao bad.

Missing with a long time between them means each miss reduces Bonus to 0, meaning your BonusScore part is worth a lot less for longer than when you miss close together.
