Studio Chizu or Ghibli?
When it comes down to it all studios are pretty different so it's really hard to really compare them to one another. Kyo-Ani does have a pretty good standard for it's content and treatment of it's workforce though.

Ghibli though both are hitmakers, Ghibli has been in the industry far more longer than Chizu and has produced more masterpieces (Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Spirited Away etc.). I still haven't watched any from Chizu but I think I should watch Wolf Children and Mirai of the Future if given a chance

I think you should credit the character designers and not the studio for that.
that but when you talk about kyo-ani, isn't cuteness the first thing you'll think about? i'm a sucker for those kind of anime (Tamako Market, K-on, Chuunibyou etc.)
