Oh hi #modreqs
[Normal]
  1. 00:25:863 (3) - Does this slider have to be straight? I think a curve (facing down or up at the end) would be nice for flow.
  2. 00:34:613 (3) - new combo?
  3. 00:39:613 (1) - Don't like its positon. kinda breaks flow. I would put it more under sliderbeginning (1) or at least in that direction
  4. 00:43:675 (3) - The slider curve should face up imo
  5. 01:05:863 (2) - new combo
  6. 01:41:488 (2) - I don't like the clap here ._.
  7. 02:02:113 (5) - new combo
  8. 02:39:613 (5) - new combo and remove new combo on 02:40:863 (1) -
  9. 02:58:988 (3,4,1) - I personally would prefer a stack from (4) to (1) than (3) to (4). Feels weird at the moment
  10. 03:07:113 (3) - new combo
[Hard]
  1. 00:42:113 (3,4,5) - these jumps feel bad. I would lower spacing a bit and switch 00:42:425 (4,5) - . I think the flow is way better then. If you switch (4,5 ctrl+g) you only have to decrease the spacing from 4 to 5 a bit. I would use 1.8x DS and maybe put (6,7,8) where (4) is now... lol. orz can't explain better. Basicly switch (4,5) with ctrl g and look what you can do if you like it
  2. 00:48:363 (6) - this one is weird. It sounds like the repeat should start on 00:48:519 - to catch the drum or whatever that sound is. It sound weird to me that you put it on 00:48:597 -
  3. 01:01:488 (7) - clap on sliderstart. Your soft-normalsound sounds good on 01:01:175 (6) - but the next note destroys that kind of.
  4. 01:04:613 (1) - After these previous fast notes (which are awesome) this slider feels to slow. It kind of pulls the player to strong. So maybe make this one a tiny bit faster and the next slider can be 1.0x SV again :3
I kind of want to suggest a more quieter sliderslide here. Towards the end when the song is more calm again this sliderslide swoosh sounds weird/odd

hope you like some suggestions ^^ nice map

If more people complain about that, I'll change
I kind of want to suggest a more quieter sliderslide here. Towards the end when the song is more calm again this sliderslide swoosh sounds weird/odd
I'll fix volume about that

Very enjoyable stuff, good work BD.

I have a few suggestions for Hard:

01:02:581 (2) - This looks a bit weird, maybe use an arc slider instead?
03:06:800 (T) - Add a note here, sounds better IMO.
03:08:519 (T) - Add a note here, and then stack it on (1).
03:08:831 (3) - Move this onto the next blue tick.

Hi, from my queue.

General

According to this the title should just be Coming Home (Ambient Mix)

Normal

Star rating seems a bit high for your easiest difficulty, not sure if this is a big problem in the ranking process (you probably know better than m)

01:04:613(1)- I think it would sound nice to add your custom 2 finish here. I think i just like this sound, maybe see if there's any way to use it more in general.
01:22:113(3)- maybe have this stack with 01:24:613(5)
02:17:113(1,2)- It would look better here if you made (1) cleanly blanket (2)

Hard

00:48:363(6)- I don't particularly like this rhythm here, i'd say just lengthen the slider by a tick, delete the next slider and add a circle at 00:49:144
02:37:894(1)- remove NC
03:09:612(5)- NC

That's all~ really nice mapset, although i'm not sure about having just two difficulties/having the Normal be that difficult.

Normal

Star rating seems a bit high for your easiest difficulty, not sure if this is a big problem in the ranking process (you probably know better than m) that's just star rating being stupid as always. this really isn't any hard for the easiest difficulty in a mapset. not saying this out of pure laziness, but god, i wouldn't be able to map a good easier difficulty for this as it'd be too boring, and this already seems enjoyable enough for beginners

01:04:613(1)- I think it would sound nice to add your custom 2 finish here. I think i just like this sound, maybe see if there's any way to use it more in general. I just wanted to use it in one part, but I'll see if it's fitting to any other parts
01:22:113(3)- maybe have this stack with 01:24:613(5) done
02:17:113(1,2)- It would look better here if you made (1) cleanly blanket (2) did the best I could

Hard

00:48:363(6)- I don't particularly like this rhythm here, i'd say just lengthen the slider by a tick, delete the next slider and add a circle at 00:49:144 nooo, I love this one ;_;
02:37:894(1)- remove NC done
03:09:612(5)- NC must've been a mistake, fixed

That's all~ really nice mapset, although i'm not sure about having just two difficulties/having the Normal be that difficult.
Thanks for the mod :D

Thanks for your taiko backgrounds! I like them, especially the font :D

[Taiko Hard]
Hmmm.... lots of unrankable points and a serious lack of consistency(in patterns)...needs a lot modding. I'm afraid I could not spot them all but I would try my best :D
SPOILER
**************************************************
Unrankable points:

01:55:238 (99) - k instead of K here
Finish notes
Finish notes must not be in the middle or at the beginning in a 1/4 or above stream.
At the end, finish streams may be allowed if there is a reasonable sound for it under following pattern constellations:
xxxxxxxxO, xxxxooooX, xxooxxooX
02:05:081 (149) - same
02:07:113 (158) - same
02:25:081 (253) - same
02:27:113 (262) - same
**************************************************

Suggestions from now on. For consistency,

00:34:925 (48) - d
00:39:300 (66) - d and move to 00:39:144 (66) -
00:40:863 (74) - add a d here
00:41:800 (78,79) - kdk
00:49:300 (112,113,114) - remove 113 and change to k k
00:51:956 (124) - remove
00:54:456 (135) - remove
00:56:800 (144) - k
00:59:300 (155,156,157) - remove 156 and change to k k
01:59:613 (123,124,125,126,127,128,129,130,131,132,133,134) - change to k ddk kd dddk k
02:20:863 (230) - d
02:21:800 (234,235,236,237,238,239,240,241,242) - change to dkddkdkkdk
02:27:894 (266) - k
02:28:363 (268) - add a d
02:38:519 (316) -

conclusion: Needs a lot further mods. BTW do you think this is really only a Taiko Hard?

[Taiko Normal]
The same problems as Taiko Hard, though I see a little consistence here.
Choose a pattern you like and repeat it for several bars(at least 2) with no or little changes help a lot.
The patterns in every bar here can do. I leave the choice back to you :-D
Remember leaving every bar to be completely different is not a good thing in a taiko map!

Conclusion: Needs further mod. Too difficult to be a Normal diff too.

Overall: change "Normal" to Hard, "Hard" to Oni
grumd
IRC modded standard.

Also, @Luanny:
I'd change the volume to something like this http://puu.sh/1woEU
Currently it harms my ears even if it's only 64%. Well, the song is just too calm and quiet.
Everything fine except of this shit: 03:04:613 (1,1,1) -
That just breaks everything, breaks atmosphere as good as nothing else. I spam keyboard, I hear annoying SKUYYSHHH sound at slider end... Why? Tell me why do you do it to me? :(
Ok, just remove spinners and add couple of notes there. Spinners in taiko are only used for stressful sections.

Also, that "unrankable" stuff above... Meh, it isn't unrankable. Finishes are in the end of a stream, they are easy to hit as well. But Luanny should consider if they are really needed anyway. Some of them seem to be removable.

nothing unrankable there. nothing changed.

Suggestions from now on. For consistency,

00:34:925 (48) - d I like to REALLY follow the drums. As you can hear, here it really asks for a k
00:39:300 (66) - d and move to 00:39:144 (66) - nope^
00:40:863 (74) - add a d here nope. following strong beats here
00:41:800 (78,79) - kdk you're right here but this dkdkd sounds weird
00:49:300 (112,113,114) - remove 113 and change to k k nah
00:51:956 (124) - remove ^
00:54:456 (135) - remove ^
00:56:800 (144) - k ok
00:59:300 (155,156,157) - remove 156 and change to k k nope
01:59:613 (123,124,125,126,127,128,129,130,131,132,133,134) - change to k ddk kd dddk k makes no sense to me
02:20:863 (230) - d drums
02:21:800 (234,235,236,237,238,239,240,241,242) - change to dkddkdkkdk n
02:27:894 (266) - k n
02:28:363 (268) - add a d n
02:38:519 (316) - ?

conclusion: Needs a lot further mods. BTW do you think this is really only a Taiko Hard?nope, talked with Ono and diffnames will be changed

[Taiko Normal]
The same problems as Taiko Hard, though I see a little consistence here.
Choose a pattern you like and repeat it for several bars(at least 2) with no or little changes help a lot. are you saying you want me to copypaste on a 96bpm map? I don't want to make things boring
The patterns in every bar here can do. I leave the choice back to you :-D
Remember leaving every bar to be completely different is not a good thing in a taiko map! It IS a good thing. Taiko needs creativity as well as standard. A newbie player will learn NOTHING with a map with only ddk k ddk k patterns. Not all taikos are meant to be the same.

Conclusion: Needs further mod. Too difficult to be a Normal diff too. diffname will be changed.

Overall: change "Normal" to Hard, "Hard" to Oni

Now, from modder to modder.. I'm kinda ~new~ to modding but I can give you a tip.
Try to actually find the mappers' style before modding and suggest things that actually improves his style. Not all maps are the same and modders are here to help the mapper to improve along with his style. Most of your suggestions made no sense to me. Why? You didn't get what I tried to, aka following piano sometimes on kiai and following drums strictly in almost 90% of the map. I do that with all of my maps. Once you get what the mapper is trying to do, you will be able to help. Obviously, not everything you said was wrong, but I just didn't want to change. Don't be offended, Ijust hope you understand why I rejected 99% of your suggestions. Try playing the map two or three times before modding and check how the patterns flows with each other~ knowing what you're going to mod is the first step. I hope you read this and do that with your next mod requests.
PM me if you want~

I will edit this.

Also, that "unrankable" stuff above... Meh, it isn't unrankable. Finishes are in the end of a stream, they are easy to hit as well. But Luanny should consider if they are really needed anyway. Some of them seem to be removable. I asked some people and the finishers are ok, easy to hit (consider the bpm) and to read. I can change some if this is a real problem but it actually fits with the song so I will keep them at least for now
update diffs http://puu.sh/1wUIA (with diffnames changed)

Hey BD, beautiful mapset, I'll try to give some suggestions :3
I can't mod Taiko though, sorry Luanny ><

[General]

useless green lines(I didn't really search, there might be more):
  1. 00:44:925
  2. 00:45:081
  3. 01:41:488
  4. 01:41:644
Hitsounds:
  1. 00:35:550 (3) - remove whistle? it sounds a bit too much after the three whistles before
  2. 00:39:613 (1) - add whistle? I expected one
  3. 01:04:613 (1) - a tiny bit louder
  4. 01:23:363 (1,2,3,4,5) - make these louder with every circle? would fit the music

Mapping:
  1. 00:32:113 (1,2) - don't really like the shapes, try maybe something like that
  2. 00:38:363 (2) - flow into this slider is not good, try to move it a bit down
  3. 00:42:113 (1) - rotate by about 20° clockwise so it doesn't get too close to the previous slider
  4. 00:46:175 (3) - make it a curve to improve the flow into 4
  5. 01:08:363 (2,3) - too straight imo
  6. 01:16:175 (3) - I would make this a curve, too and then move 4 left and down a bit
  7. 01:18:363 (1,2) - see 01:08:363 (2,3)
  8. 01:57:425 (2,3,1) - this a bit sudden and maybe a bit hard for beginners, but I guess it's doable.
  9. 02:12:425 (2,3,4) - ^ But in this case, I'd recommend to remove the repeat at the last slider
  10. 02:18:988 (3) - make it a curve :c Also, the spacing between this and 2 is a bit low
  11. 02:51:488 (4) - why do you suddenly start to use red points like this here?
  12. 03:05:238 (1,2) - dat overlap
  13. 03:12:738 (1) - the spinner seems weird. I'd place it either earlier so it ends where the vocals start or later so it starts at 03:14:613 -

    /nazi
[Hard]

Hitsounds:

00:41:488 (1) - you could remove this whistle to not have too many whistles at that part

Mapping:

Generally, I don't like CS5 in slow Hards, but oh well
  1. 00:35:863 (1,2) - make both a bit curvy
  2. 00:40:706 (6,7) - that stack feels a bit weird because you have to stop the cursor so suddenly
  3. 00:46:488 (8) - flows badly
  4. 00:53:988 (3,4) - a little bit too straight
  5. 01:03:363 (1) - I'd like to have a better flow into this one so a "[Hard]-Player" won't be surprised by the amount of consecutive circles
  6. 01:24:456 (4,5) - that stack feels weird again
  7. 01:34:613 - from here on, I'd have used higher spacing for the 1/4's
  8. 03:13:519 (1) - see Normal
[]

Alright, that's it. Amazing mapset :3
PS: About the Taiko diffnames: I think both diffs are a little easy for their respective diffnames.
edit: Oh yeah, also: */me throws star*
[Luanny]
^already talked with some taiko mappers and because of the complexity on some patterns, the harder diff should be called "Oni"
the easier diff has 1/4s so theoretically it is an easy muzukashii
well, diffnames doesn't really matter at all
