Hooray, another collab map (well, really the first one, but oh well) with saymun, MarioBros777 and me :)

My fifth beatmap. saymun requested me to map this, due to the fact he has (apparently) little ideas for English songs ._.

YGOkid8's Brother: Easy
MB's Soul: Normal
saymun's Sister: Hard
Soul Mates: Insane (collab)

It's funny, because I don't have a brother, but I have a sister.
saymun doesn't have a sister, but he has a brother.
...I'm not sure if MarioBros777 has a soul or not...
...no he doesn't, since he FREAKIN' CHANGED HIS NAME TO LILAC D:<

The BPM is double what you have now, and the song is 1/3. It'd be a pain to make it 1/3, but it'd make it feel so much more natural, what you have now feels really awkward. It's a really great map otherwise though, so it would be really awesome if you could do it....

Fix it or tell me you're too lazy to remap it and I'll mod it properly~

BPM: If I had double, Kiai Time will be crazy and unsuitable.

yeah, you're right. sorta. There's only a few parts that are 1/3... but I really cbf locating them :P
If in your mod you can tell me where the 1/3 parts are, I can probably do something about it on the parts that sound weird.
...but yeah, go ahead.

All of it is 1/3, or 1/6 if you don't want to double the BPM which might be sensible. You can tell, just tap along at a comfortable even stream speed and you'll find you are tapping 6 times a beat through the whole song (Not saying you should fill it iwith 1/6 streams that would be horrible lol)

Basically pretty much every every beat is on the 1st, 3rd, 4th or 6th tick of a 1/6 because of the swung quavers counting the white tick as first.

If it was all 1/3 and 1/6, it would've been impossible to map they way we did. What I mean is: They way that we wanted to map, if it was truly all yeah, we would be scratching our heads wondering why it sounds so terrible. But I guess if that happened, I might've figured out it was 1/3 and 1/6.

With tapping along blah... I'm tapping along to the 1/4s :(
...I know I'm right, I know there's some 1/3 parts in it which needs to be remapped. But if you're really really certain it's 1/3 and 1/6, go ask a timing expert, otherwise we're going to get nowhere with this.

Looking at it now I actually think the song is 1/4, it's just that because there are nearly no 1/4 beats in the song, the 1/4 streams in the map sounds really awkward. I misiterpreted this as 1/3 because the song really feels like it should be 1/3 but isn't - They've put a 1/4 swing on the beats which is pretty unusual.

So yeah some of the 1/4 in the harder diffs feels weird but the map's awesome otherwise.

Not sure if you guys have done this sort of collab before, but I found what you did to be very creative and fun to play. Your styles blend quite nicely, which is usually a big problem in collabs.

Soul Mates:
Pretty fast paced with the high OD. Nothing wrong with that, but with that said, I found some of the anti-jumps to be quite unexpected and a bit hard to read.
Specifically: 00:36:609 (6), 02:59:496 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - This also is a very confusing combo. At the least, I think the anti-jump should be removed.

Also, a bit anal here, but I think the final slider (03:28:877 (2)) would sound 100x better with a silent sliderslide. I'm a big fan of silent slider slides, especially in cases like this where the music just about ends, but you still need that extra oomph at the song. I'm not positive if you can do this effectively with inherited sections, but if not, it's very easy. Open up a notepad file, leave it blank, and just rename it as soft-sliderslide2.wav. Switch the sample sets and you're good. (Also, I think silent slideslide would sound quite nice around 02:40:630 as well. I find the default slideslide to sound pretty awkward at quieter parts of songs, like this.) Again, it's pretty anal, but I think it will provide some nice polish.

Saymun's Sister:
A lot of fun to play. Can't give anything constructive, except that sliderslide tidbit applies to the quieter part.

MB's Soul:
00:41:558 (3) - Better only repeating once. (it'll last a half beat, ending with a finish) The current is kinda awkward. I'm familiar with the song and everything, and after playing the harder difficulties first it just felt like the slider should be dropped when I suggested. Adding a hitcircle at 00:42:176 as well as shortening the slider sounds nice.
02:20:527 - I wish there was some emphasis on the "Tonight." Honestly, I like the break layout of the other difficulties, but I realize you guys are different mappers and everything. The break right after the "tonight" just worked well, so at the least I think you should incorporate it into the map.

YGO's Brother:
Nice easy. I like what you did with the spinner at the end (big fan of things like that too.) Maybe a bit more dramatic decreases, so it's a bit more noticeable?

Good job overall.

I tried doing what you said... but for some reason, the notepad stays as a notepad file and screws up a bit of the storyboard :/
