Hey all,

My first beatmap - an English song for a bit of variety ^^ Hope you enjoy playing it - any comments or crits welcome.

im sure you noticed the beats at the end of sliders are misaligned in play mode :/. I'll fix this up now!

edit: oh crap... this isn't my fault.. well it is - there should be a way to snap better to the end of sliders.
peppy
that is REALLY nicely made, by the way. only problem i have is the alignment of notes at end of some sliders, but i'll make sure thats fixable next version, promise!
Lumino
I'm with peppy, this is REALLY nicely done, great English song addition to the list!
I only see the same issue as peppy, everything else is good. :D

Nice one eyups, very challenging! Very nice song choice :)

Wow, haven't seen such a wellmade beatmap so far ^^ too bad I keep failing it ><

@eyup I have a request - I'm putting up a new build tonight which lets you snap notes to sliders when you are placing them. Would you be able to fix those slider-end circles sometime and send me updated osz? Thanks :)

Sure thing - yeah I noticed the misalignment, tried switching to grid view 3 but still couldn't get it to snap. Hopefully your fix does the trick - I'll get onto it. There is also a slight offset (~50ms) for some groups of beats, but I think it's the song's fault because the beats are perfectly in time everywhere else... and hitting the notes in time to the music gets 300 anyway =)

Glad you guys like it. I haven't managed to pass it myself ^^"'

OK I didn't know whether to post this in bug reports or not, because it isn't really a bug, more a gameplay issue. Noticed it playing this beatmap so I'll post it here.

With short sliders (ones without dots in between the start and end), you can simply click and hold the end point for the duration of the slider and you will get no penalty. This is most obvious at the start of Vertigo with the four short sliders. Maybe the start point needs to be specified as a required "waypoint"?

Hmm just noticed that even for long sliders, you don't lose anything by not clicking the start of the slider - you only lose life through missing the middle waypoints. I think in EBA if you miss the start of a slider, they mark it with an X similar to when you miss a normal click.

I think i broke something last night... neither of these should be possible.

edit: yeah.. I really did :P. While fixing up the snapping for you, it seems the check for mouse cursor position also checks the end circle ><. will fix soonish.

edit2: ok, new version is up. I fixed the end-circles on sliders bugging out. as for your mention of long sliders and not losing life - can you try this again? Myself and a few other testers say this works correctly. Are you sure you're not just clicking late on the start circle? It has the same lenience as a normal hit circle's 50-hit.

Nope. You never see an X on a slider unless you miss the WHOLE thing. (In which case you see X's on both ends, but it only counts as one miss.)

Wow - I was also under the impression you get a miss cross at the start when you miss it. Might remove/change this tonight.

@eyup - make sure you read the edits on my last post :)

Yeah peppy it works fine now, although I guess I stand corrected on the X thing =P

Updated version of the song with fixed slider snaps and other little changes should be up soon =)
Beatmap only (for those who got the osz already)

Oh yeah peppy I can't snap existing bubbles onto sliders using mouse drag - pretty minor issue though. When making a song from scratch the slider snap works a treat!

yup - i realise this. will definitely look at changing this soon, but it involves a bit of restructuring so didn't attempt it last night.

new version is up, btw.

I've changed osu! to replicate this behaviour in the latest build :)

Just realized that whoever uploaded the beatmap for this seems to have uploaded a version different from mine  I've replaced it with the proper one - you may want to use "Grab the latest .osu file" on the rankings page to update.
