Shouldn't Salad be AR 7 so the AR spread is even?

00:59:710 (2,3) – Compared to the anti-flow of the rest of the map, this is uncomfortable for a new player because it doesn't match the music in a way that is expected. Move (3) to X=0 so the motion is more familiar.


Salad

In general, you should lower your walking distances a smidge so the dashes are clearer to read. Your 1/1 walks should be about 1.2x or 1.1x just so the 1.6x dashes are clear.

00:23:044 (3,4) – Bruh, this is almost an edge dash. Reduce a bit.

Just watch the distances on your dashes, otherwise it seems fine flow wise

  1. Why is Cup HP6? Way too high for new players, should be 3-4 lol. Also consider HP5 on the Salad so Salad>Platter gap isn't so big
  2. Any special reason for AR9.2 on the Rain? I don;t have a problem with it, just curious
  3. Custom hitwhistle is very quiet, suggest increasing the volume
  4. Sliderslide hitsound is unused in catch, so it can be removed
  5. 01:39:044 (1) - Consider fading the spinner volume out over time in all diffs to match the fade out of the song

Cup
  1. 00:10:710 (1) - Curving this would fit the guitar sound a bit better and play more interesting-ly imo
  2. 00:25:544 (2,3) - Quite hard for a walk, consider reducing slightly
  3. 01:00:377 (4) - Would play better facing left imo, the direction change here is quite awkward for a new player
  4. The last section after 01:22:377 (1) - is very clustered in the centre of the playfield, offering little variety in movement. Here's a screenshot to demonstrate: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8769095 - Try varying some directions to make better use of the full playfield, as it will make the map more varied and interesting to play, very important for simple difficulties like Cups.

Background: The overall quality on this background felt a little low so I did some quick and dirty upscaling with waifu2x, sharpened it a little and resized to 1920x1080. I think it looks noticeably better, certainly less blurry so check it out

  1. 00:05:375 (1) - Quite a strong downbeat here with little distance to it. With the current distancing the emphasis is placed on 00:05:042 (2) - leaving 00:05:375 (1) - to feel very underwhelming. There's also a lack of emphasis on 00:08:042 (1) - due to low spacing but there's a quick way to sort both by moving all of 00:05:375 (1,2,3) - to about x:304
  2. 00:09:375 (1) - Almost purely for aesthetics I'd move this to x:112 to match the placement of 00:08:542 (2) - Though you'd also want to move all of 00:10:042 (2,1,2,3,4) - a grid space to the left too
  3. There's a couple more downbeats in this section that would benefit from more distance, about 1.44x DS is good 00:18:708 (1) - and 00:21:375 (1) -
  4. 00:24:042 (1) - Strong downbeat marking the start of the next verse but there's no real movement here because 00:23:375 (5) - ends on the red tick. I reccomend ending 00:23:375 (5) - on the white tick at 00:23:708 - and then adding in some distance, about 1.56x DS worth to 00:24:042 (1) -
  5. 00:45:375 (1) - Is this slider meant to repeat on the red tick at 00:45:875 - It's really weird as it is right now
  6. 01:06:708 (1) - Greater distance to this would be good, try moving 01:06:042 (3) - to x:208
  7. 01:15:708 (2) - I think this plays and sounds better ending on the white tick at 01:15:708 (2) -
  8. 01:24:042 (3) - This is quite long for a complete standstill, maybe make it curve out to the right just a bit?
  9. 01:34:708 (1) - Really weak to distance to this, maybe try moving 01:33:708 (2) - to x:128 for a quick fix

  1. I think tickrate 1 would be a good idea on this difficulty. It would make movements on sliders more forgiving and it currently conflicts with the Platter being tickrate 1
  2. 00:04:042 (3) - Absolutely 100% just aesthetics here, I think this looks nicer moved one grid space to the left at x:456
  3. 01:27:375 (3) - This note comes in at almost the absolute other side of the screen, no doubt very easy for a player at this level to only realise too late. I'd suggest changing the timeline up here a bit. Replace 01:26:708 (2) - with a 1/1 slider and same for 01:27:375 (3) - You'll have to delete 01:27:708 (4) - but I'd suggest this anyway as it currently ends on a prominent downbeat. You'll want to make a dash to a note on 01:28:042 - possibly a 1/1 slider or a repeating 1/2
  4. 01:37:375 (1,2) - I find the movement between these a bit awkward right now, possible to nerf the distance here a bit?

I used the code from Hi_Hello's latest post as the mapset hasn't been fully updated at the time of posting so the Platter mod should be on the absolute latest version of the map

  1. 00:06:042 (3) - This could really do with some more distance to it, it's easily walkable and it certainly deserves atleast a dash. I think the easiest way to do this would be to move 00:05:042 (7) - to x:264, 00:05:208 (8) - to x:136 and then 00:05:375 (1,2) - to x:432 This creates some space for a dash whilst making minor changes to the notes before it however it might be worth your time to try find an alternate solution that allows you to remove the antiflow on 00:05:375 (1) - as it makes for a pretty tricky hyperdash
  2. 00:08:042 (1,2) - The SV on these sliders is quite high, I think making these a little more vertical would help for players at this level, same for 00:08:875 (1,2) -
  3. 00:13:375 - Feels really weird to cover this downbeat with a slider end, I'd reccomend timelining this similar to the Rain instead
  4. 00:17:542 (6) - SV is a little high on this, try making it a bit more vertical. Also you may want to NC on this as the current combo gets as high as 14, exceeding the Ranking Criteria guideline of 12 in a Platter
  5. 00:35:375 (3) - Possible to make this slightly more vertical?
  6. 00:40:042 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6) - All of this is comfortably walkable and I think there's some room to spice it up a little. Try moving 00:41:042 (4) - to x:204 and move 00:42:042 (5) - to about x:396 and make it a little more horizontal
  7. 00:42:708 (1) - Quite strong antiflow and close to the edge of the playfield, I'd stronly suggest finding a way to nerf the antiflow and move it just a bit further into the playfield
  8. 00:48:042 (3) - After a hyper to 00:45:375 (1) - this certainly deserves atleast a nice dash, try moving 00:47:708 (2) - to about x:252 I'd also consider a NC on 00:48:042 (3) -
  9. 01:11:042 (2,3,4) - High SV sliders again, once more I'd suggest making them just a little less horizontal
  10. 01:12:042 (1) - Very much like at 00:42:708 (1) - but even closer to the edge of the playfield, I heavily reccomend nerfing this
  11. Not really a point here, just that the last Kiai uses some more horizontal high SV sliders but they feel pretty good here due to the patterns they're used in so I'd say they're ok

  1. 00:06:042 (5) - This is a very similar sound to 00:11:375 (2) - I think it would be worth making 00:05:875 (4,5) - a hyperdash
  2. 00:55:708 (2) - I'd see if you can get away with making this a cheeky extended slider ending at 00:55:958 - for the vocal. It would allow you to have a fast 1/4 hyper to 00:56:042 (1) - to start the Kiai with. You already use a couple of sliders like this in the Kiai so I think it would fit well
