After playing osu! for a while. I noticed that i prefer japanese vocals over english vocals. At first i thought it's because most of the japanese vocals that i heard are better.

But after being forced to listenlistening to my friend's music playlist. I found english vocals to be a lot more...vocal? It felt as if the language in which i don't understand makes it feel like it's part of the instrument, rather than a voice.

I guess my situation is somewhat similar to yours. I used to listen and enjoy English music more often too. But after watching Your Name (awesome movie btw) and listening to Radwimps' music, I started craving for Japanese music to this day.

I guessed that what you said might be why I liked Japanese music too.
