BLUE VS RED VS BLACK VS BROWN VS SILVER VS GREEN VS ...?

I'm going to buy a new keyboard... I'm tired of normal keyboards, so I want a mechanical keyboard. But, I don't know which switches are the best. Can you help me?

I like the blue because the sound, but people say that the best for gaming is the red one, others say it's the black, the silver, the green, the brown...

Can you tell me which should I buy? I'm not a pro player, but I'm pretty decent.

You can buy the blue, red, black, brown, and silver switches but only two of each. After you find what switch you like the best, maybe you can buy a whole keyboard with that switch

or you can buy some dead switches only for finding what switch you like:

Just get browns

Someone could dump a ton of info here about tactility vs accuracy and spring weight vs fatigue and leaf contact failure vs stem type and the relative usefulness of different force curves and actuation point vs total throw distance and debounce times vs optical vs hall effect switches but it's pointless because the next post will be "it's preference", which is mostly is anyway

but seriously though look at this spacebar

Speaking of which, here's a guide...

Also Varmilo does the sakura thing better IMO.

Well, that is a Varmilo, so you're not wrong. :)

Actually wait, what the fuck... Why is this under Ducky?

And for those that really wanna go deep into keyboards, we have geekhack and deskthority to help guide our wallets into oblivion.

It's branded as a "Ducky x Varmilo" collaboration, maybe mechanicalkeyboards.com's backend isn't setup to handle 1 sku under two different manufacturer categories

Although I don't know what Ducky contributed here since it's clearly a VA68M in a plastic shell
