21st beatmap. I originally wanted to map the full version, but it's too long and repetitive.

Thanks Loctav for the Taiko backgrounds and his Taiko Oni !

I didn't use any custom sample here.

Merci.

[Normal]
00:37:155 (3) - May Place it under the end of the slider like : ew notes hidden under sliders in a Normal. No, the thing here is that (2,3) copy the previous slider, and going back to its end wouldn't play well
01:44:383 (1) - Just put it in the centre
01:46:715 (2) - ^ These would break the spacing
01:51:378 (3) - Replace it to x:416 y: 192
01:53:709 (5) - ^ ? o_O

[Hard]
01:16:404 (1) - Little Spacing Issue oups ><

[Insane]
01:41:080 (6,7) - This Jump would be more Fun 01:40:886 (5,6,7) - form a triangle - I can't really change this jump
01:55:069 (10) - In the same height as (8) ? It's (8) flipped horizontally o.o

thanks

18:17 Metro: : so I'll watch auto
18:17 Metro: : xD
18:18 Shiro: : lol
18:19 Metro: : I can make a lot of suggestions
18:19 Shiro: : go ahead
18:20 Metro: : 00:25:108 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - this sucks. needs to be arranged in some sort of ordered way. the way they are they look like they're just scattered
18:21 Metro: : 00:36:766 (5,6,7,8) - I would rotate these a bit. I already told you that when they're without some sort of rotation they're boring
18:21 Metro: : 00:50:950 add note and then
18:22 Metro: : 00:51:047 5 notes 1/4 from here
18:22 Metro: : this will make your map not boring as it is now
18:22 Shiro: : >boring
18:22 Metro: : 00:57:557 (10) - make this a triplet
18:23 Metro: : 01:10:186 (1) - I think spacing is confusing here
18:24 Metro: : 01:24:759 (2,3,4,5,6) - 3,4,5 here are pretty much the same as in GGG... try something different please
18:25 Metro: : 01:42:439 (3,4) - make these a 5 note 1/4 stream
18:27 Metro: : ok
18:27 Metro: : I said boring because
18:27 Metro: : it's mostly 1/2's
18:27 Metro: : and I suggested adding a few streams because I believe that's what players like
18:27 Metro: : or at least what I like
18:27 Metro: : aaand you know I'm saying all this to help you
18:28 Metro: : so I hope you at least think about it
18:28 Metro: : even if it's a bit of overmapping
18:28 Metro: : (which you did a tiny bit, but I think it needs more)
18:28 Metro: : end of monologue
18:29 Shiro: : I didn't overmap
18:29 Shiro: : D:
18:29 Metro: : by overmap I mean that
18:29 Metro: : you follow the music
18:29 Metro: : but you do it too much
18:29 Metro: : there are a few triplets there that aren't in the music
18:29 Metro: : which is good
18:29 Metro: : but I think there should be some more
18:30 Shiro: : That's UNDERmapping
18:30 Shiro: : and that's probably
18:30 Shiro: : my biggest problem
18:30 Metro: : yup
18:30 Metro: : that's why I want you to spice it up a bit like I told you to
18:30 Metro: : or in any other way that you add 1/4's

Hard
Rien à dire. :<

Insane

Circle emplacement

  1. 00:32:686 - There's alot of don in this section. Maybe you could add a kat there. (k)
  2. 01:07:466 (4) - It sounds better in the editor to add a kat here. Since there's three dons. (k)
  3. 01:19:125 (4) - Can you delete this kat and replace it by a don? It's almost the same reason as 00:32:686. (d)
  4. 01:19:901 - Same as 00:32:686. (k)
  5. 01:43:800 (3) - I understand what you did for this part. So it's better to add a kat here because of the sound in the background. (Which the other kats are used for) (k)
  6. 01:45:354 - Same as above. (k)
  7. 01:50:018 - ^ (k)

As you requested via IRC.

[General]

  1. Please use tick rate 2. It generally should be used for 99% of non 1/3 maps and fits decently well with the song.
[Normal]

  1. AR 4, or even 5, makes things feel much less cluttered.
  2. 00:42:207 (1,2) - Self explanatory.
Aside from these things, I can't find much else. The sliders and patterns are very symmetrical in this difficulty.

[Hard]

  1. HP drain 4 for a hard difficulty? This is way too easy; please raise it by one tick.
  2. 00:25:108 (1,4) - These two objects slightly overlap, which bothers me because the way you map is usually without any ugly overlapping. It's rather uncharacteristic to have these overlap, no?
  3. 00:36:378 (2) - Curve this slider in the opposite direction. It feels odd to have it be the same shape as (1) and would flow better. Here's an example of what I mean;
  4. 01:51:766 (6) - There should be a whistle here in order to follow your hitsound pattern.
[Insane]

  1. I can't find anything wrong, aaaaah
Wonderful job.

  1. Please use tick rate 2. It generally should be used for 99% of non 1/3 maps and fits decently well with the song. I was using tick rate 2 at first, but I realized it gave very weird results in taiko. I know there are two Taiko difficulties, but I still care about the sense my maps make in Taiko (which is why the hitsounding is a barcoding when I could have used claps).
[Normal]

  1. AR 4, or even 5, makes things feel much less cluttered. I'm ok with AR4, but AR5 is a bit too much for a Normal. And it's not cluttered. ;_;
  2. 00:42:207 (1,2) - Self explanatory.
Aside from these things, I can't find much else. The sliders and patterns are very symmetrical in this difficulty.

[Hard]

  1. HP drain 4 for a hard difficulty? This is way too easy; please raise it by one tick. HP drain was 5 before, but the testplays I got whined about it being too high... ;_; raised to 5 again as it was my original intention
  2. 00:25:108 (1,4) - These two objects slightly overlap, which bothers me because the way you map is usually without any ugly overlapping. It's rather uncharacteristic to have these overlap, no? aaaa it's a shame D: *wallows in shame*
  3. 00:36:378 (2) - Curve this slider in the opposite direction. It feels odd to have it be the same shape as (1) and would flow better. Here's an example of what I mean I know where you come from, but I wanted to highlight the fact that these two sliders are basically the same - prolonging the "bal" then "la" a bit because the notes are slightly held in the song.
  4. 01:51:766 (6) - There should be a whistle here in order to follow your hitsound pattern. erf

;Part.en.courant;

21:26 Xgor: : Really didn't like the short Stack leniency on Insane. Those 1/1 stacks is ugly imo.

21:34 Xgor: : Those was the only ones really
21:34 Shiro: : both are on purpose :x
21:34 Shiro: : The first one is "regularly spaced" since I saw no reason to have a jump
21:35 Xgor: : Yeah I figured that one.
21:35 Xgor: : *out
21:35 Shiro: : and the second one is meant to feel like a break in the jumps when the instruments go off
21:35 Shiro: : 01:41:663 (8,1,2,3,4) - star pattern

In short: stack leniency was raised in Insane, and a few patterns were reworked to fix unintuitive spacing.

  1. AR+1 much better with play. AR7 is a bit high for a Hard imo - especially this kind of difficulty. I find AR7 to just add unnecessary and unfitting difficulty for this. =x

  1. Reduce star rating at least 3.24. Star rating doesn't matter. I asked several testplayers and several modders, and they all said that the Normal was easy enough. I'm all for making it a bit easier but I'll need pointers to know what parts to change.
  2. HP+1 too low setting for normal diff. okay

That's all ~ Pretty nice map and cool song ~

Call me back recheck ~ when you are ready ~
;)
Thanks for the mod.

Hi there~~ mod for request~
sorry for my late >.<

[Normal]
  1. 00:20:057 - you may miss a note here~
  2. 00:37:446 - unnecessary inherited point
  3. 00:50:756 (1,2) - a slider here may be better for the vocal~~~
  4. 00:54:448 (3) - stack to next slider's head?
  5. 01:09:409 (2,3) -
    1. (2) - 424:184
    2. (3) - 296:168
try this placement? i suppose it can follow the music better :>
  6. 01:52:349 (2) - (nazi)looked not very nice.. maybe u can reduce the curve?
[Hard]
  1. 00:16:948 (7) - i'd like to reduce the volumn of normal sample~~~it's too sudden now
  2. 00:42:012 - add a note here to follow the vocal ?
  3. 00:55:419 - ^
  4. 00:56:196 - ^
  5. 01:14:072 (2,3,4) - maybe u can make it more smooth like
  6. 01:16:987 - add a note?
  7. 01:18:541 - ^
  8. 01:20:095 - ^
  9. 01:28:839 - why break here....?
  10. 01:39:720 (1,2,3,4,5) - i should say...i don't like this kinda linear pattern....
  11. 01:47:297 - may miss a note ~
  12. 01:52:155 (1,2) - consider changing (1) to a 1/2 slider, and move (2) to next red tick ?
[Insane]
  1. 00:32:880 (1,2) - make a slider for some change in beat feeling ?
  2. 00:33:269 (3,4) - ^.... too many 1/2 notes continuing...
  3. 01:09:409 (3) - try a ctrl+h?
  4. 01:28:645 - unnecessary break imo~
  5. 01:33:891 (3) - rotate 180 but keep the origin by selection centre?
  6. 01:34:668 (5) - ^
  7. 01:36:611 (2) - try ctrl+r for better flow?
that's all~~hopes it can help u ~~ good luck with rank :>

sorry for my late >.< hi~ it's fine

[Normal]
  1. 00:20:057 - you may miss a note here~ No, I was focusing on the vocals in the beginning, so that clap thing in the background was missed on purpose.
  2. 00:50:756 (1,2) - a slider here may be better for the vocal~~~ I made a slight jump at this point, because both notes are highlighted in the song. Adding a slider instead of two circles would kill the jump and the second beat of the slider, which doesn't need to be clicked, wouldn't be highlighted.
  3. 00:54:448 (3) - stack to next slider's head? I don't think there should be any stack in a Normal diff - they're quite hard to play.
  4. 01:09:409 (2,3) -
    1. (2) - 424:184
    2. (3) - 296:168
    what
try this placement? i suppose it can follow the music better :>
  5. 01:52:349 (2) - (nazi)looked not very nice.. maybe u can reduce the curve? Made a better curve
[Hard]
  1. 00:16:948 (7) - i'd like to reduce the volumn of normal sample~~~it's too sudden now The hitsounds are the same as Insane... and the volume was already reduced in the sample
  2. 00:42:012 - add a note here to follow the vocal ?
  3. 00:55:419 - ^
  4. 00:56:196 - ^
I can't do that, because I followed the vocals by simplifying the rhythms a bit, in order not to have the same timeline as Insane
  5. 01:14:072 (2,3,4) - maybe u can make it more smooth like
I wanted this to be sharp, because it's the first point in the pattern where there are 4 1/2 notes (even though there's a slider), so I wanted it to contrast with the rest of the patterns =x
  6. 01:16:987 - add a note?
  7. 01:18:541 - ^
  8. 01:20:095 - ^
    same asa bove
  9. 01:28:839 - why break here....? I'm kind of afraid the drain would be too high here, so I added that break to make sure people don't fail to drain at this point ><
  10. 01:39:720 (1,2,3,4,5) - i should say...i don't like this kinda linear pattern.... made something less linear
  11. 01:47:297 - may miss a note ~ I understand why you think I did, but I wanted to keep the symmetry in the pattern, and adding a 1/2 here would kill the emphasis on 01:48:075 (7) - ><
  12. 01:52:155 (1,2) - consider changing (1) to a 1/2 slider, and move (2) to next red tick ? 01:51:766 (6,1,2,3,4) - Is a butterfly pattern, which is why I went for the full 1/1 ><
[Insane]
  1. 00:32:880 (1,2) - make a slider for some change in beat feeling ? ooooh you're right
  2. 00:33:269 (3,4) - ^.... too many 1/2 notes continuing... no, these are purposely 1/2
  3. 01:09:409 (3) - try a ctrl+h? That would break the flow with a sharp turn, and kill the consistency (I'm following the same kind of movement as the patterns before)
  4. 01:28:645 - unnecessary break imo~ same as Hard =x I don't want the drain to kill people here
  5. 01:33:891 (3) - rotate 180 but keep the origin by selection centre?
  6. 01:34:668 (5) - ^
That would break the spacing (because these are normally spaced) and the pattern =x
  7. 01:36:611 (2) - try ctrl+r for better flow? ooo that's indeed better
that's all~~hopes it can help u ~~ good luck with rank :>
