this is looking better than I expected!

couple of remarks:

1) I'm starting to feel that your maps are now following a same line of thought aka you're developing a mapping style.
2) I think you overmapped a bit? The streams? That's great! ;).
3) I finally realized the reason I don't like your hitsounds. It's not the hitsounds in general but the hitnormal. I feel it doesn't give enough feedback and that's why I dislike it. Think about it?

Judging from what I see here I'm pretty sure that quitting the BAT was the right move.

Oh, you've submited it.

-Normal-

The slider velocity should go lower a bit. Because it's Normal difficulty.

-Hard-

Try to increase the overall difficulty. To increase the chance of not spinning well.
Q: Why?
A: Because, In multiplayer or online ranking it would be more difficult for them to spin, It's an Hard mode.

-Insane-

In the end try to put a spinner. Because the more the spinner the more the chance of winning in online ranking or Multiplayer.

Nice beatmap!
Try to add for it you'r own skin!
Plus try to make a Taiko oni/Ctb/Osu!Mania.

Keep my comments in mind. ^^

Discussed in IRC. I don't think I will make any taiko/ctb/mania diff, because osu!mania mapping hasn't even started yet (and I'm not one to start it as I have absolutely no experience in that game), I don't want to make a CtB because it would probably be similar to Insane, and the song focuses too much on vocals to make taiko diffs imo

Thanks for your time though !
those
Insane - 00:04:001 (4) - Too long by 1/4. Same with 00:09:583 (4) - and onwards (e.g. 00:18:652 (5) - ). I suggest you turn up your speakers/headphones volume and check every one of your 3/4 sliders.

And regarding Taiko: making Taiko for this song is terribly easy, I must say.

I used 3/4 sliders instead of 1/2 sliders because I wanted to variate the rhythm. In these cases, the 3/4 makes sense, because the vocal is held and I wanted both the held note and the one after to be clicked. I would like to keep them because I do think they add positively to the map (for having tested with 1/2 sliders instead of my 3/4 sliders). If some of them are confusing, please point them out, I'll change them.

As for the taiko, I'm not sure. Following the drums and stuff would end up boring. Then again I suck at taiko mapping, so I can't really judge.

- Normal -

Slider velocity is a bit high for me, but i think that's more because of the bpm, i dunno, i should keep it a bit slower... it's normal though...

00:04:350 (5,6) - Wrongly spaced notes for me... 5th should be more near and 6th a bit far, swap them i think that would solve that...

oh my, you're right. Fixed. For the slider velocity, I tried using a slower one at first, but the 1/2 was overlapping badly, and it looked ugly, so I had to raise it to this point. The sliders are pretty simple and there's no fast repeat slider, so I hope it's fine.

Hi there~~mod for request~~

[General]
  1. Your mp3 file is 125kbps....i remember it should be 128 - 192
  2. I'd like to uncheck letterbox during breaks if there's any short breaks...
[Easy]
  1. 00:02:082 (1) - i'd like to extend a repeat of this slider due to the vocal at 00:03:129 - , and since it's the first object, i think there's no trouble of placement if you accept my suggestion. Of course, 00:07:664 (1) - is also a good choice :>
  2. 00:21:269 (4) - i thought i heard a clap here but the editor showed a finish....override >.< anyway, i suppose it's not suitable, i suppose, choose your custom clap here is better~
  3. 00:24:408 (1) - also weird finish....i may choose to stop spinner at 00:26:501 - and remove hitsound
  4. 00:31:559 (3) - similar, a clap here may be better than finish imo
  5. 00:37:751 - useless green lines
  6. 00:43:594 (4) - consider removing it? anyway.. just my taste ~
  7. 00:46:734 (1) - i may choose to start it at 00:46:559 - for vocal, end at 00:49:176 - and make a break delay :>
  8. 00:59:641 (4) - how about this shape?
  9. 01:11:501 (4) - similar suggestion as 00:21:269
  10. 01:14:641 (1) - same to 00:24:408
  11. 01:22:664 (3) - finish -> clap?
  12. 01:25:106 (4,5,1) - i'd like to use ctrl+j for them due to the music: The pitches of 01:25:106 (4,5) - is higher than 01:24:408 (3) - so place them toward the top of screen could make better sense imo~~ and also, the music which 01:25:803 (1) - following is from high to low, so same direction of slider could be better~ of course, you may need to adjust the position of 01:23:710 (2,3) - if you agree with me, i suppose 01:23:710 (2) - at 132:336 at 01:24:408 (3) - 356:316 maybe a good choice~
  13. 01:27:984 - useless green lines
[Normal]
  1. 00:06:269 (3) - about the beat here, i may choose to a 1/1 slider at 00:06:094 - to instead, heard better?
  2. 00:09:408 (4) - ^, and more, a 1/2 repeat slider is also a good idea i suppose
  3. 00:11:152 (3,4,5,6) - o ... this pattern....it's technical rankable but .. too right angle...if you don't wanna more 1/2 beats, i suppose you can make the placement more smooth like
  4. 00:21:094 (4) - suggest to reduce the volumn here
  5. 00:32:257 (5) - ^.. actually i still don't like these "finish" very much
  6. 00:37:751 - useless green lines
  7. 00:46:734 (1) - start it at 00:46:559 - ?
  8. 00:59:641 (5) - extend the length to 3/2? heard better~~
  9. 01:01:908 - i suppose you could add a note here or make 01:02:083 (3) - start from here, or add a repeat to 01:01:385 (2) - because of vocal.
  10. 01:27:984 - useless green lines
  11. 01:31:210 - i'd like to make a 1/2 slider from here to instead of 01:31:385 (1) - due to the vocal start from here
  12. 01:36:966 (1) - start it from prev redtick?
  13. 01:42:373 - add a note here? - same beat as 01:31:210
  14. 01:43:769 -^? or add a repeat to 01:43:245 (2) - ?
[Hard]
  1. 00:27:024 (3) - weird a bit.... i'd like to choose only a note on downbeat and leave a blank at redtick ... anyway... just my thought...
  2. 00:33:652 - since here to 00:35:571 - , to be honest i can't agree with the blanks at this section very much because the vocal is strong enough, despite continuing 1/2 may be boring, it is suitable.
  3. 00:49:176 - add a note stack with 00:48:827 (4) - to make better sense?
  4. 01:26:327 (2) - move to prev white tick?
[Insane]
  1. 00:06:966 (5,6,7,8) - highly recommend a red-tick triplet here: move (6,7) to next red tick and stack with(8)
  2. 00:11:152 (3,4,5,6) - ^. triplet on red ticks can make your beat more smooth
  3. 00:49:176 - add a note here? i think it's suitable~
  4. 01:00:077 (5,6) - still red-tick triplet issue~~ move them to next redtick plz >.<
  5. 01:06:966 (2) - move to 216:312? like 01:09:234 (1,2) - , a jump here is better imo~
  6. 01:40:803 (5) - how about place it at 256:288, and apply a ctrl+g to 01:40:978 (1) - ? for both better flow and and music:
  7. 01:46:210 (4,5) - i'd like to place (4) - at 256:336, and choose a ctrl+h for (5). The flow could be better i think~
  8. 01:46:908 (2) - if you accept the above one, ctrl+g here
That's all~~ i like neat map so star and good luck with rank :>

Hi there~~mod for request~~ omg huge mod D:

  1. Your mp3 file is 125kbps....i remember it should be 128 - 192 I tried to find a better mp3, but failed. ;_;
  2. I'd like to uncheck letterbox during breaks if there's any short breaks... makes sense
[Easy]
  1. 00:02:082 (1) - i'd like to extend a repeat of this slider due to the vocal at 00:03:129 - , and since it's the first object, i think there's no trouble of placement if you accept my suggestion. Of course, 00:07:664 (1) - is also a good choice :> I won't do that, because I hate sliders with several repeats on Easy/Normal diffs. Most of the time, they're confusing, and don't play well.
  2. 00:21:269 (4) - i thought i heard a clap here but the editor showed a finish....override >.< anyway, i suppose it's not suitable, i suppose, choose your custom clap here is better~ If you look at the hitsounding in Insane, there are two claps (which are my custom finishes), one on that object and one at 00:21:094 - . I wanted to keep the hitsounding consistent through the diffs
  3. 00:24:408 (1) - also weird finish....i may choose to stop spinner at 00:26:501 - and remove hitsound hm you're right, fixed
  4. 00:31:559 (3) - similar, a clap here may be better than finish imo same as above
  5. 00:37:751 - useless green lines
  6. 00:43:594 (4) - consider removing it? anyway.. just my taste ~ Not sure why I should remove it. I placed it here to keep the rhythm going after the long sider, and to build a bit of momentum before the finish.
  7. 00:46:734 (1) - i may choose to start it at 00:46:559 - for vocal, end at 00:49:176 - and make a break delay :> Okay for the break delay, it makes sense and looks cool, but not going to change the spinner's beginning: the white tick fits because it follows the instrument.
  8. 00:59:641 (4) - how about this shape? I used this slider as a... line that makes 00:57:896 (1,2) - symmetric in regard to it
  9. 01:11:501 (4) - similar suggestion as 00:21:269
  10. 01:14:641 (1) - same to 00:24:408
  11. 01:22:664 (3) - finish -> clap? For all three: same answer: consistency of hitsounds with Insane
  12. 01:25:106 (4,5,1) - i'd like to use ctrl+j for them due to the music: The pitches of 01:25:106 (4,5) - is higher than 01:24:408 (3) - so place them toward the top of screen could make better sense imo~~ and also, the music which 01:25:803 (1) - following is from high to low, so same direction of slider could be better~ of course, you may need to adjust the position of 01:23:710 (2,3) - if you agree with me, i suppose 01:23:710 (2) - at 132:336 at 01:24:408 (3) - 356:316 maybe a good choice~ I don't really see how that changes anything, honestly. If anything, it makes the part weird, because the direction change becomes weird. Also it would lead in a stack under the long slider's end...
  13. 01:27:984 - useless green lines
[Normal]
  1. 00:06:269 (3) - about the beat here, i may choose to a 1/1 slider at 00:06:094 - to instead, heard better? That sounds too complicated D: this Normal is already pretty difficult, I don't want to make its rhythms any harder
  2. 00:09:408 (4) - ^, and more, a 1/2 repeat slider is also a good idea i suppose Same, that was what I did at first, but the whole part was pretty messy because of that. So I tried to make a simpler rhythm
  3. 00:11:152 (3,4,5,6) - o ... this pattern....it's technical rankable but .. too right angle...if you don't wanna more 1/2 beats, i suppose you can make the placement more smooth like I kept the same placement because I like the idea of introducing this kind of angle, but used slider for the vertical movements
  4. 00:21:094 (4) - suggest to reduce the volumn here The volume is the same as Insane here. Reducing it would make it not loud enough imo
  5. 00:32:257 (5) - ^.. actually i still don't like these "finish" very much They're in the song though. D: And that's because you didn't see Insane yet ~
  6. 00:37:751 - useless green lines
  7. 00:46:734 (1) - start it at 00:46:559 - ? Same as easy: I don't like starting spinners on red tick because I find it kind of confusing.
  8. 00:59:641 (5) - extend the length to 3/2? heard better~~ There wouldn't be anything on the white tick anymore then... The normal-clap hitsounding would have a hole. D: I don't want to add more 1/2, so I just simplified the rhythm into this
  9. 01:01:908 - i suppose you could add a note here or make 01:02:083 (3) - start from here, or add a repeat to 01:01:385 (2) - because of vocal. I'm limiting the 1/2 I use as much as I can, or this Normal would become too difficult
  10. 01:27:984 - useless green lines
  11. 01:31:210 - i'd like to make a 1/2 slider from here to instead of 01:31:385 (1) - due to the vocal start from here That would break the comboing, be confusing because of the weird rhythm, and ugly because the 1/2 slider looks ugly in the playfield
  12. 01:36:966 (1) - start it from prev redtick? Same as above
  13. 01:42:373 - add a note here? - same beat as 01:31:210 The blue combo is mapped on the instrument... I think it's a trumpet or something
  14. 01:43:769 -^? or add a repeat to 01:43:245 (2) - ? Same as above
[Hard]
  1. 00:27:024 (3) - weird a bit.... i'd like to choose only a note on downbeat and leave a blank at redtick ... anyway... just my thought... That makes sense. I had to adjust the pattern after a bit though.
  2. 00:33:652 - since here to 00:35:571 - , to be honest i can't agree with the blanks at this section very much because the vocal is strong enough, despite continuing 1/2 may be boring, it is suitable. I can't use too much 1/2 here. I know the vocals are strong, but I had to make this part simpler to avoid having the same patterns and timeline as Insane. This rhythm is still intuitive and makes sense, so I don't think it's bad.
  3. 00:49:176 - add a note stack with 00:48:827 (4) - to make better sense? Added a note, but didn't stack: stacking makes the pattern ugly
  4. 01:26:327 (2) - move to prev white tick? This is mapped on the trumpet-like instrument, which starts on the red tick.
[Insane]
  1. 00:06:966 (5,6,7,8) - highly recommend a red-tick triplet here: move (6,7) to next red tick and stack with(8) o.o why ? The song has a triple at this point in the drums
  2. 00:11:152 (3,4,5,6) - ^. triplet on red ticks can make your beat more smooth The triple here is for the tremolo on the voice. Pushing it to later doesn't make sense and is confusing. It doesn't even play as well
  3. 00:49:176 - add a note here? i think it's suitable~ Even thought it would make sense, I wanted to give the player a bit of rest after the very jumpy part, ending with the square. Adding a note would kind of ruin this effect.
  4. 01:00:077 (5,6) - still red-tick triplet issue~~ move them to next redtick plz >.< same as above: these follow the drums
  5. 01:06:966 (2) - move to 216:312? like 01:09:234 (1,2) - , a jump here is better imo~ No matter where I place it, I always get an ugly overlap. =( this will be ok without jump ;~;
  6. 01:40:803 (5) - how about place it at 256:288, and apply a ctrl+g to 01:40:978 (1) - ? for both better flow and and music: That wouldn't flow better at all. D: The three circles here do like a ping pong ball: -> <- ->
  7. 01:46:210 (4,5) - i'd like to place (4) - at 256:336, and choose a ctrl+h for (5). The flow could be better i think~ This is pretty cool, I'll do that
  8. 01:46:908 (2) - if you accept the above one, ctrl+g here I considered this, but I won't do that because I want to keep the sharp movement at this point. The vocals are pretty sharp to me, I want the map to reflect that.
That's all~~ i like neat map so star and good luck with rank :>
Thanks for the mod !

  1. There are various unusued inherited points in places such as from 01:27:896 - to 01:28:420 -, from 00:37:664 - to 00:38:187 - and 01:39:408 - . Remember to delete them!
  2. 00:06:966 (4) - clap at the beginning of this slider to follow the 1/4 drums being played in the background?
  3. 00:10:455 (1,2) - That's just a little graphical thing, just change if you want: what do you think about making these 2 sliders encircle 00:10:106 (4) - ? It is not really needed, but it's really cool to see and the flow progresses really good because of the curves that are continuing the flow in a pretty good way! Hovewher that's pretty much an optional, feel free to ignore this :)

  4. 00:43:943 (1,2) - Is this jump intentional? It's the only one in the whole map and honestly talking,it doesen't flow good at all. You could make instead a curve here,to make it flow properly with 00:44:641 (2) -

  5. 01:12:896 (3) - Instead of using a 2/1 slider Here I actually expected a 3/2 slider with a note just 1/1 later,as it follows pretty good the vocals being played there. What do you think about it?
  6. 01:35:222 (2) - Add some whistles at both the beginning and the ending of this slider? Your whistle pattern is getting discontinued here, and that's not really good.

  4. 00:20:048 (3,4) - I actually expected this to be splitted with 2 1/1 slider,as following these drums in the background without the vocal part feels quite strange. It could be just me,though...
  5. 00:25:803 (2) - Why aren't you using the clap at the end to follow the ones being played in the background? I know there is another clap 1/2 before, but it fits pretty good anyways here!
  6. 01:02:083 (3,4,5) - Really little graphical thing: as 01:02:083 (3) - hasn't got the same slider body as 01:02:083 (4) -, this part looks quite bad. Here,I made this pattern for you. See if you like it :D

  8. 01:30:513 (4) - That's mostly a subjective thing,so just fix if you want: what about using CTRL+G here? This returning slider fits really god,imho. If you do that,you could move 01:31:385 (1) - at x:296 y:272 to create a really good triangular-shaped pattern with 01:31:734 (2,3) - !
[Hard]

  1. 00:21:094 (1,2) - What about doing a jump here, according to the claps being used there? It's the only circle-based pattern on the claps which isn't a jump... This could be an example, feel free to follow this or use another pattern

Well, just this. For the rest really good Hard diff, well done!
[Insane]

  1. 00:14:292 (5,1) - Well,I don't like this much this transiction as while in the jumps before this there's a progress from the left to the right while here you just go up,and that ends up feeling really strange. What about reworking this pattern with moving 00:14:466 (1) - a bit to the left to fix that?

  2. 00:32:257 (1,2,3) - This is pretty much a subjective thing,so you may not agree with me: what if you instead do a triangular jump surrounding 00:32:780 (1) - ? As now the flow goes up I think that's pretty nice to play!

  4. 01:03:129 (2,3) - Aren't you going to follow the drums here? Actually a triplet like the ones before sounds and fits pretty good here...
  5. 01:40:455 (3,4,5) - Again,this is a pretty much subjective thing: I'd actually make a triangular jumped that has its shape contained into 01:39:234 (5,6,7,8,9,10,1) - . Imho,it fits really good,especially the transition within 01:40:803 (5,1) - !

  1. There are various unusued inherited points in places such as from 01:27:896 - to 01:28:420 -, from 00:37:664 - to 00:38:187 - and 01:39:408 - . Remember to delete them! I know they are unused, but I need them to keep my comboing consistent. They don't really matter anyway, it changes nothing to anything. D:
  2. 00:06:966 (4) - clap at the beginning of this slider to follow the 1/4 drums being played in the background? Ah, missed it, nice catch
  3. 00:10:455 (1,2) - That's just a little graphical thing, just change if you want: what do you think about making these 2 sliders encircle 00:10:106 (4) - ? It is not really needed, but it's really cool to see and the flow progresses really good because of the curves that are continuing the flow in a pretty good way! Hovewher that's pretty much an optional, feel free to ignore this :) why not

  4. 00:43:943 (1,2) - Is this jump intentional? It's the only one in the whole map and honestly talking,it doesen't flow good at all. You could make instead a curve here,to make it flow properly with 00:44:641 (2) - Absolutely not intentional. I'm not sure how this happened.

  5. 01:12:896 (3) - Instead of using a 2/1 slider Here I actually expected a 3/2 slider with a note just 1/1 later,as it follows pretty good the vocals being played there. What do you think about it? I planned on doing that, but the end of the slider at 01:13:943 - sounds really out of place, so I went for a 2/1 slider instead, because it sounds better.
  6. 01:35:222 (2) - Add some whistles at both the beginning and the ending of this slider? Your whistle pattern is getting discontinued here, and that's not really good. Whistles there wouldn't fit. Added a whistle on the note after though.
  7. 01:36:966 (1) - Again, add a whistle at the beginning for the same reason. You should add it at 01:37:664 (2) - too after doing that! Only added on (2). I don't see a whistle fitting on the beginning of the slider (see Insane).
[Normal]

  1. AR+1? The current one is pretty much slow for the SV/spacing used imho. AR+1 would make it AR5 and that's a bit too much for a Normal imo...
  2. Just like the Easy diff, there are various inherited points which aren't being used. Remember to remove them! same thing. I map Insane first, then save as a new diff so I can use the same green lines.
  3. 00:11:850 (4,5) - Oh well, not really a fan of this kind of pattern,as the flow gets a bit interrupted with this 1/2 transition. What do you think on curving a bit more 00:11:850 (4) - so that it continues the flow properly with 00:12:373 (5) - ? k. I had no problem with my previous pattern because it was symmetric, but well

Not gonna do that: the "ping-pong" is repeated in the song, so I used the exact same slider twice in the map. It also gives the movement here a ping-pong like feeling, since it goes -> <- ->
[Hard]

  1. 00:13:245 - You could add a S:C2 inherited section here,as Nope. The whistle used here is actually the slider tick, and the whistle in S:C2 is the standard soft whistle.
  2. 00:21:094 (1,2) - What about doing a jump here, according to the claps being used there? It's the only circle-based pattern on the claps which isn't a jump... This could be an example, feel free to follow this or use another pattern I had that at first, but testplayers complained that it was confusing. I kept normal spacing instead and used jumps later on in the map.

As now the flow goes up I think that's pretty nice to play! I considered this for a while, but it's not really possible. In the whole map, the claps have a big sudden jump. Doing that would ruin this pattern. And I couldn't find any replacement that played well enough.

Instead,I'd suggest you to replace this with just a circle and a triplet. The slider is here for the held vocal. I don't know if you noticed but 00:59:816 (4,5,6) - has exactly the same shape as 00:58:420 (4) - ! I did that because the rhythm used in lyrics is repeated at these two points.
  4. 01:03:129 (2,3) - Aren't you going to follow the drums here? Actually a triplet like the ones before sounds and fits pretty good here... I can't hear 1/4 at this point in the song, which is why I didn't use any 1/4.
  5. 01:40:455 (3,4,5) - Again, this is a pretty much subjective thing: I'd actually make a triangular jumped that has its shape contained into 01:39:234 (5,6,7,8,9,10,1) - . Imho,it fits really good, especially the transition within 01:40:803 (5,1) - ! I don't really get it... I give up, seems to be alright the way it is, to be honest. All I have to say is: Are you sure about the source? It's mostly "Vocaloid" not "VOCALOID". You can look to other ranked maps.

Here's a second star. ;0;
