Well, I finish this map faster than I thought, really :P. I really like the song, so it calls me the attention to map it.
This is my Contribution to Bass' Album Project: Beacon - Two Door Cinema Club
I'm using Krisom's Skin!! I think that it is a good time to use it

more than 3 different slider speds. any reasons? personally i think that using only 2 different slider speeds would be enough (x0.8 and x1.0)

00:00:447 (1) - starting with finish? it would be a good idea but since there's no hitsound in music - use whistle instead?
00:02:238 (2) - same as above. just try o3o
00:15:670 (3,4) - yes, they're awesome! but..erm.. do you realize that crossing sliders are real stress for beginners. "WHOA? D: THEY'RE CROSSING OMG!"

02:17:014 (4,5) - how about new combo somwhere around (4) because this combo is tooo long and i think it might confuse begnners

some blanket-sliders are wrong but they're still looks cute.
same as [Easy] about hitsonds in start part. (Finishes => Whistles)
some patterns (00:26:864 (3,4,5)) are looks messy and hard to read because of low AR. (also low AR looks unfitting to your Slider Velocity. orz) how about
AR5? which is more common for Normal diffs.
01:29:999 (1,2,3,4) - unsure about this pattern. it looks a bit hard. try to make it easier to read?
01:41:641 (1) - map without this beat feels odd. try to put here this circle because.. because it's ust wrong to skip this beat!

00:49:029 - how about adding a circle here? there's beat and circle would fit here. this way?
01:08:058 (1) - sounds off. if you still want to have this circle here - try tomake something like this and use 10-15% volume (S) for 01:07:611 (1,2,3,4,5)? >.<

First Try
•00:10:521 (4) - I have two things to say here, you should try to make this slider curved and also, why you started this slider at 00:10:521? I know you placed it for the vocal, but I don't think it fits well here. Moving it to 00:10:745 will be better because of the bass' sound at 00:11:193.
•00:32:685 (1,3) - These two sliders can be improved by curving it a bit more, like this
•00:32:238 (5,2) - Add a new combo to the circle (5) since the vocal is following and also, stack these two circles toogether.
•00:45:670 (1) - Delete the new combo here since 00:44:775 (3,1,2) - is a pattern and it will fit the vocal with the previous combo. Also, 00:47:461 (3) - Add and 00:47:909 (1) - Delete the new combos.
•00:51:491 (1) - For this one, I thought you could add a red node on the center just like this
•01:08:058 (1,2) - This "blacket" can be way more better by changing some nodes' emplacement.
•01:15:670 (1) - For this slider, you could add a whistle on the slider-slide. It will mostly fit with the thing he's singing.
•01:29:999 (2) - Since the previous slider is a straight line, you could make this slider curved or do any other form with it.
•01:31:790 - This whistle breaks the Finish consistency. So you should replace the whistle by a Finish and I don't think it makes it too loud.
•01:45:223 (1) - You should reverse the beginning of this slider because the flow is not really good with the previous note. (You should also reverse the other notes after this slider)
•01:53:730 (1,2,3,4) - Something is really wrong here, there's no consistency at all. Make the claps on two and fourth line of the timeline.

Pretty well constructed, these emplacement, hitsounds are really good.

[Normal]
•00:01:790 (2) - This whistle MUSTshould be deleted because the previous and the next whistle are accompagned with the bass. So I don't really think it's necessary to add a whistle here since there's no bass/drum or any other instrument's sound.
•00:10:521 (1) - I sincerely think this slider should be in the bottom instead because the transition from the previous slider to this note, won't be really good.
•00:17:014 (3,4) - Look at your previous difficulty (Easy). This is not the same thing. On the Easy difficulty, you had a whistle to the circle (3) (Because it was a slider) and nothing on the circle 4. So I don't know, maybe keeping the consistency with your difficulties may be better? Anyways, I will try to do another consistency because of this difficulty.
•00:25:521 - Since there's an instrument sound here, add a whistle
•00:29:103 (1,2) - We can see that both ends are not stacked together. Try to stack them.
•00:47:909 (1,2) - I don't know, I feel like these two sliders are weird in some ways. The end of the slider one is not really close from the beginning of the other sliders and then, the end of the slider 2 is close for the beginning of the other slider. Ohwell.
•01:24:626 - It feels empty here. Add a whistle like the next combo.
•01:40:745 (4) - You could add a finish here to keep the consistency.
•02:04:476 (4,5,1) - To reproduce these sliders: 02:02:685 (2,3) - , the slider 4 and 1 should be reversed.
•02:08:506 (4) - A whistle should be added here for the consistency.

The only thing I may say here, be carefull with the new combos. New combos are normaly used to fit with the vocal..

[Hard]
•00:01:790 (2) - Same as the previous difficulty, do not add a whistle here because there's no instrument sound here.
•00:23:730 - Add a whistle here because there's an instrument sound here.
•00:33:133 - A whistle sounds pretty good here because of your combo.

Seriously, I can't can't find that much on Hard. Because of this, I'm going to come back to recheck Hard.

Hello. Request from In-Game. This map is just perfect. The symmetery, the shapes, the hit sounds, everything.

-> I recommend custom slider ticks.

Easy:
00:15:670 (3,4) - I prefer readjusting and moving these sliders to the center of the y-axis. Just a suggestion.

  1. The hitsounds are a bit too low imo. Although I can hear the additions fine, I can't hear the normal samples enough, and that confused me at times. (running both effects and music at max volume)
  2. I have an offset of 445 (-2 from your current offset). I don't think you even have to change it.
  3. The blue combo colour is hard to see on that background. Make it brighter ?
Easy
  1. 00:36:715 (1,2,3,4) - I don't think there should be any claps here. You should rather finish the hitsounding as you had it before, then have a brutal change starting from the finish that starts the kiai to make the hitsounding change even more noticeable and make the effect better. Also, starting claps there sounds kind of random.
  2. 00:39:402 (4) - Comboing-breaker slider. Although there are quite a few in this diffs, I won't point them all out, but this one stands out because it finishes right when the kiai starts, and with a finish hitsound. Sliderends are passive (you don't need to click them) so it feels weird to make a slider end when a kiai starts, because kiais are supposed to be the "epic" part of the song, and starting them this way feels weird.
  3. 00:42:088 (1) - This slider introduces a hole in the hitsounding by leaving a clap spot blank, which sounds, plays and feels weird. Also, you obviously accelerated the rhythm from the pre-chorus by using mostly 1/1 instead of 2/1, and this slider completely breaks this acceleration by being 4/1. Splitting it would play nicer and keep the flow you introduced through rhythm and hitsound changes.
  4. 00:46:118 (5) - Here again it would be better to remove the repeat from this slider and place a circle where it was, for the same reasons as earlier (except without the kiai).
  5. 00:51:491 (1) - Same comment as 00:42:088 (1) - .
  6. 01:08:058 (1) - I don't really understand this slider. Why does start so early ? It introduces the same problem I've pointed out twice regarding finishes and sliderends and spots that are important in the song/map, and I can't understand why it would need to start earlier.
  7. 01:32:685 (4) - Same issue.
  8. 01:37:163 (4) - Forgot a whistle on its end ?
  9. 02:11:193 (1) - same, except it's a spinner

The blue combo color is extremely hard to see against the BG. Especially with the black border of the hitcircle overlay. I suggest using a much much lighter blue. Red is ok but on some displays it will be too dark as well. Maybe brighten it up a bit, too.


[Easy]
Some beatplacements I would've done a bit different but that is just personal preference (Shiro[daril] covered most of it anyway). Overall solid easy and I couldn't find anything that needs to be fixed here. The only thing I have to complain about is this:

02:11:193 (1) - this is something I can't stand. I would never START the KIAI on such a dominant downbeat with a spinner ending...it just feels wrong. I want to HIT something...a circle or a slider beginning. Still your choice but I don't recommend doing it with a spinner...(Easy maps would be an exception as they can't always be mapped perfectly)
02:17:461 (5,1) - you could done a much betterr blanket with the slider here....(extremely picky I know :P ) here..you don't have to do it yourself:

Pretty much perfect imo. Just add the few missing slidertick claps and this will be great.




Overall very polished mapset. Please consider adding the slidertick-claps as described above. If you need some help with it just catch me ingame or drop a PM. I'll check this again after you've covered my mod and I will probably redirect it to Loctav for him to mod ;)
