Okay, I've done the instructions from 1-6 but Osu still doesn't work. I've just recovered my laptop and downloaded Osu! and when I start Osu! I can hear the music but I can't see the screen. The Osu! menu doesn't show, it only shows my wallpaper. Did that make sense? :/
