Oh, sure. I don't know if I want a NHI or a ENHI spread though, so if you make normal, ideally it can be under 3 stars to deal with both situations.

you should update the artist info since whoever tagged that original c83 upload didn't use proper tags
artist: Draw the Emotional, no foreground eclipse members participated in this track

[notice][list]Considered starting the diff at 00:14:379 ?

[*] 01:06:553 (1) - angle is ugly Not sure what you mean?
[*] 01:11:770 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - pretty uncharictic of the song, nothing really wrong here but i feel making this part streamier would be better Its something i've been considering for while, I'll keep it in mind but i'll leave it for later.
[*] 01:14:379 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - pentagon pls Its visually hard enough to find because of the length of the pentagon, but I guess it can't hurt.
[*] 01:17:151 (3,4,5) - distance a bit too low I feel like lowered distance is better going into a new section (especially a quieter one).
[*] 01:24:651 (1,2) - I don't think suddenly having red tick sliders is good here really, takes you by surprise Better than notes, what would you rather me do? Sliders are easier to hit.
[*] 02:08:285 (3,4) - stack and maybe switch order (slider-circle instead of circle-slider) I don't feel like it makes a difference? Especially since slider circle and circle slider is more of a playing preference, and doesn't physically make anything easier or harder
[*] 02:08:714 (5,1) - ^ ^
[*] 02:12:249 (1) - replace with two circles I don't feel like this particularily makes anything more worth emphasizing emphasized. Its more fitting for a relaxed section as it is.
Everything else was done, and I remapped a lot of shit.

[Insane]
  1. 00:24:488 - The hitsounding in this section sounds too abrasive for me. I personally think that using soft-hitnormal would have worked better. For sections like 00:35:249 and 01:06:553 using normal-hitnormal sounds perfect, but in the beginning here there isn't that continuous bass guitar playing low 1/4s to sort of justify using normal-hitnormal in my opinion. Instead, the guitars focus on the mid-high range in this section so I think soft-hitnormal would have been better.

  2. 00:29:053 (1) - Slight aesthetic issue; this circle isn't linearly aligned with the previous objects. 245,86 looks better. It's really not a huge deal but I did notice it during actual play so I thought I should point it out.

  3. 00:47:966 (4,1,2,3,1,2,3) - I really like the flow here, especially the pair of sliders at 00:49:434 (1,2). One of my favorite Nyquillisms which has had a huge influence on my own mapping is your backtracking flow after straight or very slightly curved 1/2 sliders, these sorts of things really demonstrate your mastery over slider leniency.

  4. 01:06:553 - The symmetry plays really well in this section, and you've also kept things interesting by alternating between repeats and triples.

  5. 01:11:770 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This part feels a bit empty in comparison to the instrumentation. It plays fine though and I guess it acts as a sort of break between two streamy sections, but it still feels weird to be clicking on 1/2 sliders when all you can really hear in the music is 1/4 bass and the occasional snare. This is probably the best way to map things though, since you couldn't have continued with triples and repeats since the 1/4s are constant instead of segmented, and a huge stream probably would've been too much difficulty-wise for this map. Anyway I'm probably just repeating things you've already considered.

  6. 01:32:640 (12) - Sorry orz. When I'm looking at it in the editor it really doesn't seem off at all but in actual play for some reason this looked awkward. Try 455,179?

  7. 01:37:857 - Artist: screamo guy feat. Draw the Emotional
    no kds

  8. 01:50:714 (1) - omg I wish there were a hitsound for these vocals. Still, only having soft-hitnormal doesn't mesh well here. Maybe try soft-hitwhistle2? Or maybe you could just lower the volume for the slider start.

  9. 02:08:285 (3,4,5,1) - These feel awkward for me, especially 02:08:285 (3,4) which has a 1/4 slider start on a blue tick. I think it would be better if you changed (3-4) into a triple instead, though if you do end up keeping it like this, there is a slight spacing inconsistency between the (3-4) gap (2.67x) and the (5-1) gap (2.44x). If that was intentional, then it's totally fine.

  10. 02:18:793 (3,4) - I have a feeling that decreasing the spacing between these two sliders could make the tempo change play more smoothly. Currently the spacing is pretty large in comparison to the spacing at 02:18:142 (1,2,3) and while that's expected (1/2 gap vs. 1/4 gaps), the actual clicks made by the player are all spaced 1/1 apart here. Having 3 semi-closely spaced 1/1 clicks and then a largely spaced 1/1 click right after a tempo change could be a problem. My suggestion would be to move 02:19:119 (4) to 56,116; doing so spaces the ends of (3) and (4) to roughly the same distance as between 02:18:142 (1,2,3). This could be a good visual indicator of the consistent click rhythm, while still keeping the actual spacing between (3-4) further apart. The distances between (4) and 02:19:445 (5) and (5) and (6) also become roughly the same (2.22x) after this change.

  11. 02:24:010 - The flow in general in this section is great, I really like how you manage to construct oval flow even though you use primarily straight and slightly-curved sliders.
Gudo mappu! Your maps always strike a nice balance between linear and circular flow, and this map is no exception. In general I think your maps are very adaptive to different playstyles, there's always something for everyone to enjoy in a Nyquill map. I think that the secret behind this is in your use of slightly-curved sliders with a focus on semi-parallel arrangement. Most great maps are characterized by a diversity of flow to keep the playthrough interesting rather than becoming monotonous. In most cases this seems to be done by explicitly alternating between angular/linear and circular flow, i.e., triangle hitcircle patterns with blanketed sliders. However, this map in particular seems to diversify flow not explicitly, but implicitly, by giving players a choice between different methods of following your patterns. Your consistent use of straight or semi-straight sliders seems to suggest a linear flow, but the arrangement of your objects with the help of slider leniency presents the possibility of playing via circular flow as well.

In the end, I think that the beauty of this map and your maps in general comes from allowing the players to play the way that they want to play, rather than forcing them into a strict set of flow patterns. Making maps like this is possible only for someone who's truly mastered things like slider leniency: everyone clicks hitcircles in the same way, but tracing through sliders can be made a diverse experience depending on the construction of the map.

Your use of streams is moderate and not overdone. This helps to diversify gameplay, because too much stream makes a map a (sometimes frustrating) spamfest and too little stream makes a map feel too steady.

Aesthetically your patterns are well-designed and organized; the map as a whole looks clean and stable, with an adaptive structure well-suited for many types of flow. In many maps the structure is based too much on blankets or straight lines, and this tends to pigeonhole the flow into being either uniformly circular or uniformly linear. That isn't the case for this map; the aesthetic quality of this map comes from a structure that can adapt.

Overall, the primary characteristic of this map is definitely "balance". But by no means is this a balance formed from compromise, rather it's a balance created from doing everything so well that there are no identifiable weakspots or lacking elements.

It's rare that I don't have any general complaints about a map as a whole, but honestly I really don't see any aspect of this map that's lacking in some way. Everything that I've pointed out above are either minor grid issues, slight spacing suggestions, or hitsound adjustments. Usually here I would tell a mapper that they need to work on such and such, like maybe their map isn't as neat as it could be or that their object spacing needs work or that the rhythm is awkward, but for this map, there's nothing to say about things like that. Amazing work!

  1. 00:41:934 (2,3,4) - This is okay, but the repeat doesn't totally fit here, and then the (3,4) gap feels a bit weird because of that.
Honestly I would've preferred something like this
but like, this is a hard, so the (2,3) spacing there is probably too much. Still, I think this sort of rhythm would fit the music better here. You do end up skipping over the clap note at 00:42:423 though because it's in the middle of the (3) slider, so you could change the 1/1 (3) to a 1/2 repeat if you want to map the clap. And actually something like this
wouldn't be too bad either, and this maps the clap as well. The spacing is still probably a bit huge though so you should probably rearrange the pattern if you do decide to go with this object rhythm.

  2. 00:44:379 - 01:06:553 - this section needs claps (including the spinner that starts here)

  3. 01:01:336 (1,1,2,1,1,2) - this might be a problem for readability. I guess see if more people bring this up; it could just be me.

  4. 01:06:553 - I really like the way you handled the fast triples in this section.

  5. 01:16:988 - 01:37:857 - this section needs claps too, like on the circles at 01:18:292 (1) and etc.

  6. 01:22:694 (5) - Midpoint to 220,144 and endpoint to 119,198 fixes this blanket.

  7. 02:13:857 (1) - Start point only to 81,53 makes this blanket look neater.

  8. 02:17:392 (1) - Finish on end works better here than bare hitnormal I think.

  9. 02:37:135 (1) - Clap on end

  10. 02:39:662 - For this section, consider adding Finishes on the objects just before the gaps, like at 02:42:271 (7) and 02:44:879 (7) etc. Or soft whistles, or drum finishes, or something to give those notes a bit more aural impact.

  11. 02:47:488 - Hitsounds missing from here until the end

  1. 00:24:162 - 01:06:553 - To be honest I don't really understand your normal whistle rhythm in these sections but it's not like they sound bad or anything, so it's fine. Though your whistles sort of stop halfway through the kiai at 00:56:118.

  2. 01:16:336 (4) - Consider using normal whistle on this slider's start (keep soft hitnormal though)

  3. 02:03:571 (1) - Finish on end

  4. 02:10:428 (2) - Normal clap works better than soft finish here I think. Or you could use both, like at 02:12:999 (2).

  5. 02:48:466 (4) - This slider start is a bit too far up in the (1,2,3,4,5) line. I think 340,297 works better.

  6. 03:10:966 (1) - Consider silencing slider end to 5% volume. Oh, and this is also a suggestion for Insane as well.
