i have the exact same problem... and it sucks cause it doesn´t let you upload any beatmap. How can i play without beatmaps? i downloaded osu! today and found this.. crap...

what do i have to do?!!It's simple, really, simply switch the osu! folder from C:/Progam Files to just C:/ and the problem won't come up again.

If you have this issue, you can try to move osu out of Program Files to somewhere like your Desktop
