With no apparent cause, test play seems to be broken: any mouse click or z/x causes three different maps I tested to restart from about 00:06:30 in time. The pause screen buttons do not respond to mouse clicks, but keyboard control works.
UPDATE: On a whim I tried Play mode, and it appears to be afflicted as well. Update of Update: simply restarting osu seems to have got rid of this...I'll leave this post for now in case it's of any interest.
