[Archived] Osu won't let me pick a certain map

I used to be able to play this map fine: http://osu.ppy.sh/s/5240

But just now whenever I try to select it Osu just automatically changes maps and no matter how I delete the folder/reinstall it, it still behaves like this. It's causing me to crash in MP (of course) and I can't seem to fix this.

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

I had a similar problem with Taqumi - Crystal Lattice where whenever I selected it, the game would refresh and send me to a different song. But it's working fine now. strager's advice seems good.

Already did what strager suggested multiple times, doesn't fix it.

You said you deleted. You didn't mentioning F5'ing afterwords, which is why I suggested it.

See if there are any .osu_ files lying around, or any files (only folders) in your songs folder.

When you reinstalled, did you clean everything except your songs folder?

I'll check the map out tomorrow.

Okay, try this.

Delete your osu.db file in your osu! folder.

Then go into Solo. It will refresh (which may take a while depending on your hard drive speed and the number of songs you have), and hopefully the map will be usable again.
