Just a few ideas for modes, and things to include.
Note Modes:
- Hidden: Removes timer circles and makes notes vanish before they must be hit, just like in Ouendan 2.
- Ringless: No timer circles, but the beats don't vanish, similar to Easy+Hidden.
- Vanish: Timer circles are visible, but the beats vanish before they must be hit.
- Invisible: Timer circle are visible, but the notes are not, and therefore, have no numbers. You can only rely on ring-spawn, color and memory.
- Mini: Slightly reduced note size.
- Micro: Incredibly small note size.
- Mega: Larger notes.
- Sudden: Basically, the insane mode note visibility.

Other Options:
- Flame Off: Turns off combo flame animation.
- Perfect Only: Break your combo, and you fail.
- All300s: Anything less than a 300 is an instant failure.
- Osu/Elite: Determines if your life meter has a Kanji or a YES on it.
- Custom Skins: Not really an option, but it should be possible to make and upload your own custom note skins.

Cool ideas. Only one i don't fully approve of us the EBA mode ;) but I guess if there's enough push for it I will still add that one in.

With all the mod modes - these should be choosable at the song selection menu, yeah? Possibly giving a score multiplier depending on which you choose?

Sounds like a good idea. Have a little button in the corner that says Options, and when you click it, a little menu pops up, and all the options should be clickable, no need for keyboard input.

I am thinking I'll allow people to make skin packages - which will affect the hit circles, score bar, spinner and possibly some areas of the menu/ranking page. If I do this, the EBA mode will be pretty simple for anyone to make (I'm actually not familiar with EBA sprites at all - only played the game for 5 minutes ><). If you or anyone else are interested in getting something out soon, I can put up a template for the sprites needed.

Couple new ideas:
- Automatic Slider shape list. Basically, create the slider length on the time line, and then select a pre-designed shape from a pull-down list for instant perfectly-drawn shapes. Of course, if the slider is only a short distance, you couldn't make certain shapes. Also, there'd be a button to rotate the shape.
-- Shape ideas: Circle, Straight line, slight arc, larger arc, U shape, Heart shape, Star shape, Infinity shape, Diagonal line, zig-zag shape

Option:
- Spinners:Off - Removes spinners from songs, since some people dislike them. Sure they'll lose score, but it's up to them if they want them or not.
- Musical Flames - Makes combo flames pulse to the music, like a media player visualization.

One thing to remembers about sliders - the velocity of sliding is constant throughout the song. This would make it hard to define preset shapes - because the user would be forced to certain beat lengths. One thing that can be done, is have them a predefine and usable length, such as 1/2bars (4/8 beats), and on the occasion that the user has adjusted the slider velocity manually, the shape can scale its drawn size accordingly.

Sliders took a heap of development time because of this constant velocity - most of which was spent thinking how to allow placement and adjusting the length of the slider. I think (hope) I've come up with a pretty usable system.

Anyways, this would be quite complicated to setup, but I can see it being a useful feature for the lazy ones out there (or those that haven't mastered the art of catmull and bezier curvature). Will definitely give it further thought. It'll probably help for you to have a go at placing your own sliders, too - I personally haven't tested making shapes too much, but am guessing we could still make some improvements to allow for very defined shapes in the future.

After playing (bashing my head against) Lumino's new song, I propose a new option.

An option to allow the game to keep playing even if they would otherwise die, but in non-scoring mode(score is recorded while playing, and at the end, but doesnt' get counted for high scores). Then at least I might be able to play to the end of the song >.>

Some kind of practice mode would be great. I can totally relate, as I fail most songs.

I'd like to emerge from the ether and second this as well. This is something I like to do in Ouendan as well: sometimes I just like to play a stage to enjoy it without worrying about getting interrupted with a kill if I fall out of the beat too much, even if it's a stage I've beaten before, and I generally resort to playing vs. replay data in Ouendan 2 to do it, although that has the detriment of the silly vs. attack effect.
