First of all:
http://www.xfire.com/profile/palid/ - Here's my machine's config.
Second: I'm using Win XP PRO SP 3.

And now let's get to the topic. When I turn on Online Users screen my FPS gets lowered dramatically. Sometimes it just "jumps" down from about 200 or even 400 in menu to about 25in Online Users ! Auch ! There's a way to fix low-fps, just turn off moving panels, but... It shouldn't work like that.
Here are the screenshots:

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

I didn't test it on OpenGL, only on DX.

Test on OpenGL, please.

Can't do it, running OSU! on OpenGL hurts my eyes.

That doesn't make sense. If it hurts your eyes, your monitor or your monitor's configuration at fault, most likely.

Please see if this bug occurs in OpenGL.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but when i get lag from opening the user panels, it's from all the avatars loading.

There is something going on here, but the OP post hadn't dug deep enough into the issue.

Switch the display to "Sort by rank", Open the users and scroll to the very bottom. *ALL* the 0-rank users panels are doing an interesting zig-zag dance of sorts.

In Name-sort, there is a similar issue as users constantly log in and out, but it is less noticeable because it is spread out.

I see some potential for optimization here to only update the panels which are "currently visible", such that the constant dance of 0-rankers, or log-inners that aren't currently shown, will not be drawn unless they are within the current visible range of where you've scrolled.

I don't know that this should be called a 'bug', but maybe a future update could render the users pane faster.

They use no processing when off-screen. This is already heavily optimised, and not the reason for said performance problems. The Online Users screen will be changing/disappearing soon, so this issue should be avoided when that happens.

While I know it may sound like a good idea to try and suggest technical help, it really doesn't help at all so you're best not bothering ;). Not that I'm trying to put anyone down; it just isn't generally possible for black-box identification of problem areas based on visual observations.
