1.) Remain in Main Menu until the osu! logo is the only one that's remaining
2.) Press F9, put your mouse cursor above any user displayed
3.) Press F8 to close both chat and users. THEN DO THE NEXT STEP QUICKLY
4.) Not moving the mouse, click.
5.) CAKE!
What's happening here is that the menu user interface starts up (The options 'Start Spectating', etc.) even though the F9 window is already closed.This is only happening in the main menu when the osu! logo is strobing in the middle (afai'm testing it's not happening when the Solo-Multi-etc. options are displayed) Okay never mind -- it happens anywhere on the main menu as long as your mouse is not clicking anything clickable -- so it always happens when the osu! logo is solely in the screen, regardless of where the mouse is.

EDIT: OK so apparently it only occurs when you click the mouse on where the user's pane once was only after less than a second has passed after pressing F8.
