Noise problem with digital camera

I have an Olympus Tough 6010 and been trying to record some Taiko videos. The early ones I did were fine, you can at least hear some sound. White noise is inevitable, but it wasn't that much of a bother.

But just starting yesterday, the amount of white noise in my videos increased to the point where the actual sound is nearly completely obscured. What causes this and how can I reduce the white noise?

Compare these two videos:

In the 2nd video the hissing sound is much louder and the music is much softer. Noth videos were recorded by placing the camera close to the TV, propped up on a box

...Maybe someone tampered with the recording settings of the camera or something?

No one touched the camera but my brother. And he didn't do anything but recharge the camera.

Get a 3.5 mm audio cable, plug one end into your TV and the other into the Line In connector on your computer. Problem solved.
