I accidentally deleted my map just now and I haven't uploaded it to the BSS! I just finished it and going to delete one of the diff but choose the wrong option and POOF!! I thought my map will be sent to the recycle bin. But when I open it, it's empty.

(+) All delete operations are now sent to via the recycle bin.
Is peppy lying or what?

Please someone help me to get back my map! Please, I'm hopeless! And thanks.

Edit: Still works on my end.

Sorry, but what number?

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

Yes, osu! b1211. Then?
Randy96
Well, I got nothing good. I'll leave it to someone that can handle this.

All I guess you could try is to reinstall? :?
Derekku
I've tested with a few maps, and they get sent to the bin when deleted and reopen fine.

Hmm... what OS are you using and which renderer (openGL/DirectX)?

I'm using Windows XP and DirectX renderer.

Re-install? Oh I don't think so. I just don't want to re-install the osu! and lose all the contents.
Thanks for the help ^^

You could save the songs and skins in a different location if you are planning on reinstalling.

After that, will my map get back?
Randy96
Assuming you put the folders back in the osu! directory, it should work, but I wouldn't reinstall just yet.
Let's just wait and see what Derekku or others have to say.
Derekku
I don't think that reinstalling will do anything.

Anyway, I tested this on my old laptop which runs XP, but the behaviour is as you state; The beatmap is NOT sent to the recycle bin. I'll report this as a high-priority bug in just a moment.

Alright, thanks. But, could my map back..?
Derekku
I have no idea, unfortunately. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. Sorry! D:

Download Recuva, use it, and hope for the best.
