[Archived] osu! mute problem

I often play osu! on my laptop speakers but when my parents are in the house i have to switch over to my headphones... and that is when the problem starts.

If i plug in my headphones while osu! is running (i was playing and had to pause when parents came in) osu! will mute the sound and it will only return when booting osu! with either my headphones or speakers.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Are you running vista/win7? If so, it is likely your drivers not handling the switch of sound devices internally correctly.

Yeah i'm running Win7 but if i'm not mistaken i had the same problem when i used my old XP desktop (that was when i started playing osu! so it is highly assumable that it's already fixed).

I'll look in my settings if there is anything and thanks for the help/advices.
