Very bad video playback

I've been noticing that, after installing ffdshow, configuring it as shown here, and restarting that I'm barely getting any video playback if any, and by "any" I mean one seemingly random frame every 30 seconds or so. Right now I've got it down to one of the following possibilities:

  1. ffdshow and K-Lite are conflicting
  2. I'm missing something in ffdshow's configuration that I can't figure out
  3. My computer sucks.
Anything else I can do before saying this is the result of playing with a crappy computer?

It'd be great if you mention what your crappy computer is. Also does a tray icon appear when playing a song with video and what colour is it?

A red "FFV" icon appears in my system tray once a video starts, so the ffdshow video encoder seems to be kicking in.

As for my crappy computer, or should I say laptop: (One way to tell my computer isn't made for gaming right there)

Pentium M 1.7 GHz CPU (Pre-centrino)
1.2GB RAM
Intel GM915 graphics chipset (128MB shared. This is the one system spec that absolutely KILLS me when it comes to gaming; Definitely not gaming geared but it works surprisingly well and doesn't have very many problems with osu! other than video.)
I also have DX9.0c, and .NET framework 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x installed.
