When Sudden Death and Easy (or any mod that restarts play when you fail) go together, you fail, and at the same time, hear the "Are you READY?" sound. Get rid of that, please. :)

No, actually this happens in Ouendan 2. When on the Easy difficulty, you get a second chance. Kai or the other dude will refill your life bar once when you fail.
