Hey, welcome to the world of beatmapping!
This map has potential, but needs some fixing.

First thing is to watch the distance between adjacent circles, aka spacing. Spacing is a player's friend because it's the easiest device to know when to hit a note, compared to hit circles and listening to the song's beats. The occasional fudging of this is okay, but too much makes it unfun.

For you, the spacing in both difficulties changes often and without warning. This is bad. It makes the map near-unreadable. Turn on distance-snap and adjust Distance spacing (appears in the upper right when you hold down Alt) to your preference. Regulate the distances. The rhythm is fine, though, so I wouldn't mess with that too much.

Jumps, which go farther than the allotted spacing, are okay at occasion, but only use jumps on [hard] and [insane] maps and use sparingly. Also, it's generally better to start a new combo on a jump.

A good amount of people who play dislike it when sliders go over each other completely, even with stacking on. You have this once or twice in hard. Changing it is recommended.

There's already another map with the same background. It's fine, but there are so many other pictures in Cave Story to choose from. I recommend this.

Lastly, a good way to evaluate your map is to play it a few times, then think about what you didn't like about the map. Make it fun, but be sure to have fun! Good luck with the map.
