okay so I have to get the official japanese metadata from a game that had no official soundtrack released... what do I do? First I figured out that there was an official sound test in the game! Great! I'll hack into that room and then it'll tell me the titles... WRONG It just displays track numbers. So then I thought "Well I'll just datamine the japanese rom file and search for the japanese text of room where I want the music from. Whenever you enter a room a big text is shown on screen telling you where you are! I'll use that as my official metadata." heh... nothing PERSONNEL KID. ALL TEXT ISN'T TEXT. That is to say that text isn't stored like "abcdef" no.. no nono.. all text is IMAGES. There is an IMAGE of the letter a, an IMAGE of the letter b. and the images are arranged on screen to form sentences. heh.. so now I have to play through the japanese game until I reach that certain little village.. for my metadata... yummmmmmmmyyy
