Song select thumbnails [Added]

So (almost) every song in the listing has a little thumbnail in it that shows something from the beatmap in question. Could that be displayed in the song select screen in osu! as well? Either faded overtop of playfield.png or as an overlay in those little pill button labels, or something?

I think it would be neat =<

Disagree. Personally, I don't think there's enough room for a thumbnail. Unless it was very tiny. As small as a real thumbnail.

I think if you've already downloaded all the songs displayed in song select, the whole song select background could display the (full-size) background image of the selected song.

I really don't see what your argument is. It basically equates to "playfield.png is too large" - I think you're understanding the request wrong: this goes underneath everything else, basically as a background.
