About me:
Late 2010 to Early 2013: welcome to osu!
I was first introduced to this game late October 2010 by Taiga Katsuyama and decided to create my own account the following month. I have never played any rhythm games prior this day, this is my first. I also don't have a PC to use for playing and I was only playing when I'm on a computer shop.
Taiko was the first game mode introduced to me, then standard mode. This is the same era I discovered catch the beat.
Mid 2013 to 2016: peek
Since I don't have a dedicated computer, I never had the chance to play a lot. From time to time, I will still try logging in, but that's from public computer shops.
December 2016 to January 2018: im back, with a laptop
I got a laptop because of college. This was the time when I really tried playing the game. I never improved on other gamemodes other than catch. I started and enjoyed playing catch with convert maps, thinking of goals and play with different mods.
This was also the time when I became somehow active in chat. Master MaMaiPonc and Laqure are the first Filipino players that reached out to me about catch. Mackey has also given me a lot of nicknames in-game. xD
I have first reached Top 50 Country Rankings on November 13, 2017, peaked at rank #1,932 on January 23, 2018.
Early 2018 to Mid 2020: flatline
My laptop gave up on me. It broke because of too much beatmap downloads (SSD error).
This thing also happened while I'm away:
June 2020 to December 2021: im back again, now with a PC
I never expected to be back on this game again. My rank has decayed a lot, but I have managed to somehow reached 2k ranks again. I have reached Top 50 Country Rankings once again on September 26, 2021!
2022 to present: what's next?
Right now, I'm just playing for fun. I set best scores from time to time, but I no longer grind, compared to my peak. I usually lurk 👀 on almost all English channels (e.g.: #osu #help), and interact on new players especially when they need help.
Completely leaving this game might be impossible -- from time to time I might log in to play some nostalgic beats, until I forget about this game and move on. ㅇㅅㅇ
