This map was inspired by my time in Hakodate, walking through Goryokaku and Honcho at night. Through the reflection of the neon lights on the snow, it always felt mystical and distant somehow, like I was in a different world, even if I was surrounded always by people I loved, and that feeling of something so isolated and alien has never ceased to amaze me.

Unlike the song, I don't have any regrets about my time here, and although I had and lost chances romantically, overall I think I made the right decisions, even if I sometimes reimagine those moments, walking around at 3 AM after karaoke at the Big Echo downtown and having that romantic tension between us, and nothing but the sound of snow crunching under our steps.

Like the song, I feel like those moments are truly beautiful and fleeting moments, packed with a lifetime's worth of emotions which we yearn for and wish to relive just one more time, maybe with some wisdom of what we had. But that's the beauty of it in my eyes, we can't relive the past, but damn it if we can't tell you how unbelievably beautiful those precious seconds of time were to us
